This slide pose was their idea, not mine:

Aidan loves sticking out his tongue lately. I couldn't get him off of the swing. I had to bribe/threaten him.

This park has a really cool "tower", that has 7 flights of stairs up and is some kind of watch tower. Ethan loved going to the top, but Aidan was scared to be so high. Don't you love how Ethan put his hood on and velcroed it up tight, but never bothered zipping up his jacket? (Click on the picture to see it up close.)

This picturesque silo and barnlike house thing is also in the park. I took this picture from the top of the tower.

Oh, and Aidan finally got a haircut last night. We're not going to talk about it, other than to say there was a lot of crying involved, by him (during the haircut) and by me (on the drive home, out of frustration). Then, after Christian got home, he fixed the haircut by giving Aidan treats and letting him watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Aidan is terrified of scissors and thrashed his head around during the haircut at the salon, but at home he was generally happy; at least he wasn't terrified and arching his back. And to think that I have to go through this again in six to eight weeks...

Love the jacket! You live in a beautiful area! I really am missing all the fall leaves right now. (Though enjoying the warm rains.) The barn/silo are soooo pretty. I really feel for you having to get another thrashing haircut. Have Christian take him???
Thanks for filling me in on the "next time, on ...survivor." We are still experimenting with the timing on our new DVR thing. So it cut off Sherea's final words and the previews for next week. I was just glad we didn't miss any of The Office.
I think when I have boys I will just shave their heads in their sleep!
Love the picture of the barn, it is beautiful! I know about haircuts, I took Carson somewhere else because their clippers are less noisy than ours are and he was great! Although we probably can't afford giving our boys professional haircuts often, I'm beginning to see how tempting it will be!
And I'm very tempted to just have Christian cut it from now on. It may not be perfect, but it's close enough and I don't want to have to deal with the frustration and embarrassment of a meltdown/tantrum in the haircutting chair.
Man! I was hoping you'd say that the haircut went great, so I could call that lady and schedule Calvin an appt. The treat/tv thing still doesn't work for him.
Today we went to the "fish park". We should have joined you guys!
Gorgeous picture! Makes me want to come visit. And I would in a minute if I could. Good thing for blogs.
Sorry to hear the haircut was difficult. Glad to hear Christian came to the rescue.
What a fun park!! I really love the silo and barn. How funny is that that the boys chose how to pose for a picture.
