On the Third Day of Christmas

I braved into some stores and fought off people by the scores. I hate shopping. I always have. So the only reason why I went shopping today was because our whole family has been sick for the last week and a half, and I finally had to get out and get some things. So today, the second to last Saturday before Christmas, I went to: Wal-Mart, JC Penney, Borders, and KMart. We drove by Target, but from what we could see, every parking spot was full. Yikes! But, the good news is that we are finished Christmas shopping. Whew! But, Ethan has been talking about our Christmas feast and if we are going to have a Christmas beast (à la the Grinch). Guess we'd better start making a menu!

Oh, and tonight Christian and I are going on a date! We hardly even know what that word means, but we were invited by some people Christian works with to go out to dinner and to a choral Christmas concert that another person he works with sings in. And the boys are going to Elli and Xandi's house. Too bad I'm still to congested to even taste food. But I don't care...I'm looking forward to going out on a date!

P.S. Three hours later: Our babysitter called us before we had even been served our soup to tell us that Aidan had already thrown up three times, so what did we want to do? We had them wrap up our dinner, and we went and got the kids. Then Christian and Ethan went to the concert, since we had a $9.00 ticket we didn't want to waste. So much for a nice date. Maybe next time.

WOW, I am so sorry Erin. I hate when stuff like that happens. I hope Aidan gets better soon.

Ah....the joys of motherhood. Bummer that you missed the date Erin. Look at the "bright" side...you got to eat your yummy meal as a take out kind of thing.

I am sorry you didn't get to have your date. At least you left the house. When we go anywhere - usually we get there, drive around to find a parking spot, by this point my husband is far too frustrated to enjoy the evening - so we go home. LOL - I always say, at least I got out for a few minutes.

I hate shopping too - it's the worst.

Sad about the date! I hope illness stops ruining everything for you! What a bummer.
