The Stockings Were Hung on the...Wall With Care

We put up our stockings tonight. No chimney/mantle/banister so we made do with the wall above the couch. Christian's and my stockings were knitted by my Grandma Reeder years ago. She died three years ago, and these stockings hold a special place in my heart. Well, my sister found a woman in Wyoming who had the exact pattern that my Grandma used and so she knitted my children (and my sister's kids and a few of my cousins' kids!) stockings. They are beautiful! The stockings are one of my very favorite parts of Christmas, because of the special memories they bring back to me.

That is so special! I am still trying to finish ours (just sewing things on) after 2 years.

I love the stockings too. I just need to find some good ones for all of us.

Those are beautiful stockings. I'm such a slacker...well actually perfectionist in this department. I've put off getting stockings because I want to have the same pattern for everyone in the family, and well we hope to grow a bit more eventually. So we use really big, ugly socks. Pathetic, huh? Glad you were able to find someone to make the same pattern. They are adorable.
