I've been thinking about cutting my hair for quite a while now. I still haven't made a decision, and I want to get your input. If I cut my hair up to my chin, I will have 19 inches of hair to donate to either Locks of Love or Pantene's Beautiful Lengths. What do you think? Click on your choice in the poll on the left hand side of the page, and if you have additional comments or thoughts let me know!

I love your hair chin length. That is my favorite way to see it on you. It looks more way more sophisticated.
Mom
I actually liked your hair best when it was around/just past your shoulders. That being said, 1) it's always fun to have a change, 2) what better reason to cut your hair to your chin than donating the sacrificed locks! Go for it!
Hey! You know how I feel about locks of love! Though pantene's beautiful lengths sounds like a wonderful cause also. I think you should do it. THere is no better feeling than knowing you helped someone feel better about the situation they are going through. I would totally want someone to do it for me if I were there. That being said, you have to be comfortable with the change. Always remember it will grow back!
Love you
Brooke
Go with chin length. The weight of long hair is pulling it down and flat. Short hair will give you lots more body.
Oooh, I'd LOVE to see it chin length! Course, you'd look great either way, but wow, what great causes and what a fun way to start the new year!! Can't wait to hear what you decide!
I cut my hair a little over a year ago and I have been so much happier even though I loved my long hair. So I say cut it!
It is beautiful, but I always like change in hair, since it does grow back! I don't know that I'd cut it all the way up there, but maybe a good 10 inches and then layered and styled a bit. I know then you can't donate it though, so really, that's tough! You would look great with an a-line!
go for it! i just chopped mine and i feel like a new person!
I think you would look great with chin length (or just passed your chin) with layers and layered, sort-of-choppy bangs that are all the rage now.
I love long hair, but a change is always nice. I would love to see how it would look short. Donating your hair is such a great thing. Not everyone has the will power to grow it long enough to be able to donate it. Good for you.
It would be fun to cut it and donate it. It will always grow back...especially when you get pregnant with #3
CUT IT!! I wish I could do it for you! Remenber how fab you feel after a cut, especially a drastic one? Besides, it's just hair; it'll grow back!! Although I have been meaning to mention: your whole family has BEAUTIFUL hair. Who knew that a man's hair could be as thick and beautiful as his wife. Your boys got your good hair genes and just imagine a Wimmer girl!!
I am with about everyone else. I love to grow out my hair but after a while it has to come to and end because I always need a change. It is so refreshing to get a haircut.
Hi Erin,
Melanny Cowley here. Awesome blog. Wish I were you.
I felt I should weigh in on this issue. I definitely think you should cut it. Here are my reasons.
1. It will give you something to blog about.
2. It's only hair--it grows back.
3. It's for charity. You are being selfish by not sharing. :-)
4. The fact that you are reluctant to cut it is evidence that you absolutely should. I believe in living outside the comfort zone. That is the only way to truly live.
5. Okay, here I will admit that I have never really felt that long hair is beautiful, only, well, long. I think you will look stunning with a cut.
Keep us posted! (literally)
Cut, cut, cut it! I always loved cutting clients hair too donate...and its just hair and will grow back, right! Good luck...can't wait too see what you decide!
so what did you decide about your hair? CUT IT!! It will be so cute on you. You have a perfect shaped face for shorter hair as well as long hair. Not many people can pull of both.. take advantage! :) Love you!
You are a beautiful woman either way. I love you Erin
CUT IT! Of course I am going to say that because that is what I do, and I have cut so many for Locks Of Love. It is so great if you can do that, and like many other people have mentioned it is just hair, and it will grow back. I think you would look good with any style. You are such a beautiful woman that you could shave your head and noone would even say a thing! I believe you have had your hair chin length before, and I thought it was adorable!
LOL!!! It is funny to see what gets people commenting!! I just cut mine for locks of love a few months ago. It is still past my shoulders - not many people noticed I cut it because it is always up anyway. Hee hee
My wife almost cut for Locks, but they only use a tiny portion of the hair, so I talked her out of it. Bobs look good, but long hair is awesome. I'm a man, and most of us think that way. Heh heh. Bless you.
