I Did It!

I have been looking forward to this day, for my 8:00 AM appointment. I was much less excited when I woke up and it was -8 outside, with a windchill of -25. My appointment was at a salon 1/2 block away, and I really wanted to drive. But Christian teased me about driving 1/2 block, so I opted to walk. My nostrils were freezing together on the walk. But I made it! And...here's what most of you have been waiting for!It ended up being 15 inches to donate, and then another 3-4 inches after she cut off the first part. Stephanie, the girl cutting my hair, wanted to start a little long and get shorter if I wanted to. She was almost afraid to cut off too much! I was just ready for it, and couldn't wait to do it.

I had 39 people vote, and only 1 said don't cut it, and 3 said do something different. The vast majority of you were ready for the change. And so was I! I always love the yummy smelling products they use on your hair. And Stephanie massaged my head for like five minutes. It felt so good. Why did I wait so long to do this???

When I came home, Aidan was being shy! He was hiding his face shyly and looking at me with a funny smile. He has never known me with short hair! He wouldn't even come over and give me a kiss. I guess it will take a while for him to get used to.
