Interview With Aidan

When you talk with a 2 1/2 year old, you never know where a conversation will take you. I asked Aidan these questions this morning:

What is your favorite color?
Green – Percy! (Thomas the Tank Engine’s best friend)

What do you like to sleep with at night?
Ummm, toys.

What kind of toys?
Ummm, trains!

What is your name?
Aidan

What is your whole name?
Grandpa Roger.

What’s Daddy’s name?
Um, Dad.

What’s Mommy’s name?
Mama.

What do you like to eat?
I don’t like to eat. I just want to eat. (Already perfecting the art of contradiction)

What is your favorite song?
I am a Child of God.

Will you sing it for me?
Come and play in my bedroom!

After you sing it, I will play in your bedroom.
Okay.

I had to bribe a little bit, and he was being shy, but here he is singing his favorite song. (And then after he sang it, we went and had lots of fun playing with trains!!)

It is a waste of time and energy to worry about what others are thinking about you. because... You can never know exactly what another person is thinking...AND, the wost part is...they are usually not thinking about you at all.
