Swimming Lessons

The boys started swimming lessons on Tuesday night. My friend Staci started her kids up too, so our kids could be in the same class (the two older kids in one class and the two younger in another). We envisioned sitting on chairs, visiting and enjoying 40 minutes twice a week without kids interrupting every sentence. The first time proved quite different. My kids were quite timid, and at times downright scared, and I had to be within earshot of either one the entire time to give them encouraging words, or give hugs when they wanted to get out of the water. Last night's lesson, however, was much better. No tears. Still timid, but enjoying it a little bit more. And hopefully at the end of the four week session they will have learned some things!
P.S. Today is Friday the 13, my lucky day!

My kids hated swimming lessons. I suspected it from Cal, but was shocked that Milo, my little fish, didn't enjoy them either. They just shivered the whole time and wished they could splash around in the shallow end. Funny kids. I'm glad your lessons got better the 2nd time around.
Meanwhile, I bet Stacey M. from church is super jealous you're moving to Cedar City!
