Up the Wall
I usually make Ethan and Aidan be separate during quiet time, because otherwise it is not quiet at all. I went in to tell Ethan that quiet time was all over, and I saw that he had his crayons on my bed, and he had been sharpening them onto my sheets and peeling the wrapper off of three of the crayons into teeny tiny pieces. I said, "Ethan, we don't make messes like this on my bed. Only at the table." And he said, "Look Mom!" I looked and he had his hands on the edge of my bed and his feet halfway up to the ceiling. He said, "I'm driving up the wall!" And I thought, "Yes, you are driving up the wall. You're driving ME up the wall!" He did clean it up. For a five year old. Which means I will have to vacuum up all of the little pieces he swept off of my bed and onto the floor...

I love the clean up after they clean up. I just have to remind myself that they are learning (and it makes it so hard when they don't do it my way). Oh, well! For some reason Land likes to sharpen anything he can get his hands on too.
Yes, the kid clean-up is only a teaching tool, not actually a cleaning tool. Nice. That's hilarious, though.
Tiny crumbs in the bed - no good.
