The Celebration is On

Today we paid our last rent check EVER. Yaaaaaay!

To celebrate our new house, we went out to eat last night at The Café, a restaurant in our back yard (okay, back parking lot) that only uses organic and locally grown foods. It was a special treat for the whole family.

I was trying to decide what pictures to put on here. I figured family pictures were probably more interesting to those viewing this page, but I'm all about the food. So I'll include a little of both. It may seem like overkill, but I just couldn't leave the beautiful pictures of the food out!

Look at all this food the boys got for $3.50!

Okay, so maybe the salmon wasn't "locally grown," but it sure was yummy. Christian got the steak and egg, and some deliciously yummy potatoes and asparagus spears that I could have eaten all of if Christian hadn't said, "Hey! Don't eat all of my potatoes!" Guess I should have ordered them myself.Ironically, we found out during our celebratory dinner that the seller's agent made a snafu (yes, I know what snafu means and yes, it applies here) and they couldn't record the papers on our house yesterday because it was after 5:00. But, thankfully, it will record (i.e. close) first thing this morning and we will even get a little money back because of the one day difference. So, as of 9:05 AM Utah time today, we will officially own the home.

It's the middle of the night, I'm hungry, and that food looks SO, SO, SO yummy!

Congratulations on the house once again. I'm excited for your fun, new adventures.

I so miss having yummy restaurants in my town. I loved the Cafe - you lucky ducks! Especially their bakery.
Congrats on closing! We also just paid our last rent check. It was so weird and cool. I forgot we'd be getting a deposit back, what a bonus!
