Remember When...

I may not be back on my blog for quite a few days, so as a gift to me for when I am able to come back and visit the blogosphere, you can do me one little favor...(I have seen this on a couple of my friends' blogs, and I think it's cute)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Good luck on the move! I know I already feel better being in our house even though it is a mess!
My first memory of you was when we were little (I was probably really little). Your family came to WA and I had never met you before (or had no memory of meeting you at least). I was FASCINATED by your extremely long hair.I just loved it. From then on I swore I would have really long hair and I always gave myself really long hair whenever I was playing make believe. Now we both have hair above our shoulders. lol. How motherhood and maturity changes things I guess.

I love Lynettes memory! Mine is one summer you came and visited us with a (french) exchange student. We rocked out to awesome music, talked about boys {sigh....} and you introduced us to Nutella!!! I was in awe of my awesome, beautiful, older cousin!

Does "The Peanut Butter Solution" ring any bells. I remember being at your house and we all watched that movie. It was so scary! And the first time I heard Depeche Mode was at your house. I loved it! (still do) Thanks for the fun post!

For me, serving in the Primary Presidency with you comes to mind. It was a fun presidency! I enjoyed serving with you.

I'm remembering taco soup at the moment. I loved that evening when you and I made taco soup for the Relief Society and then sat there enjoying girl-talk with the other great Ames ladies. (Thanks for that recipe, by the way, we use it often.)

Happy moving!

So many memories! I remember as kids when we used to make tapes together and I remember your commercial for "Dr. Wopper" and "Amalgon." As we got older I loved riding around with you in your little blue car. You used to take Brooke and I to Taco Bell and we would check out guys. You wouldn't even give them a second glance if they weren't a certain height. I remember riding with you on 12th east and you driving pretty fast so that we could catch air on that bump in the road.

I remember the "Peanut Butter Solution" too. I had nightmares for weeks after that one.

Good times, good times! =)

I remember writing lots of letters back and forth when we were kids (ahhh the days before email)... and it's because of you that I still to this day have a love for Peter Cetera. I also remember you and Brooke always making those yummy pudding choc chip cookies when we came to your house.

I always think about the time at the cabin where we sat on the naugahyde chairs and you told me the story of how you and Christian fell in love.

I also remember sitting in your basement apt in Logan and talking about all the different magazines we were both obsessed with.

At your shower for Ethan I remember thinking how radiant and beautiful you were pregnant. You really did glow and look so happy. I won't ever forget how beautiful you looked. And how you did not tell anyone your names to keep it a surprise. We did that too for you inspired us.

Playing annie-i-over at britt and braden's house. That was the only time that I have ever actually played that game and it was so much fun.....when we girls finally figured out how to acutally get the ball over the house!

I remember when you used to let me hang out with you and your friends, and even your boyfriends a lot when I was your annoying younger sister. You were great to always let me tag along. I'm sure it was you who got me into reading the babysitter's club books (not to mention many other books). Remember how you used to have me pass notes back and forth to Aaron? Ahhh, the days...

One of my favorite memories of you was after Carson was born, I didn't even know you and was really struggling with being a new mom and my house always being a mess. You just came and knocked on the door and did my dishes. You'll probably never know how much that meant to me--I needed help, and more importantly, a good friend and I got both without ever saying a word. Thank you Erin!

I remember lots of boy talk and I mean LOTS. In person, in letters (which I still might have hiding in some box of stuff from my childhood).
I definitely remember "the Peanut Butter Solution" - such a weird show and I still have flashes go through my memory - just every once in a while.
And Celine Dion. And playing the piano together.... and on and on and on. Those were the days.

Little late in getting to this. I remember you teaching RS--especially the time after Aidan was born when you made bread and talked about how there were so many things you couldn't eat anymore because of his allergies. I felt so bad for you, and at the same time in such awe at your personal discipline. I also remember wanting to be your friend really badly, but feeling too nervous! I had to tell Christian how much I loved talking with you. So glad the distance hasn't severed the friendship.
