Yesterday we found a new park we have never been to in our town before. Ethan was scared of one particularly steep climbing wall, and avoided it for much of the time we were there. After a while though, he cautiously climbed up to the top. I clapped and cheered. Then he said,
"Take a pretend picture Mom."
So I did. [If you are/were a Friends fan, think of Alec Baldwin taking a mental picture with a high pitched voice: click]
Next he said, "Now, pretend you have your blog right there."
I said, "Okay."
He said, "No, pretend to type like you are on the computer."
So I got out my pretend keyboard.
Then he said, "Now, this is what you type. 'Ethan just climbed a really high and scary thing at the park. I am very excited.'"
I pretended to type just exactly that.
He asked, "Did you type just what I asked?"
I answered, "Yes."
And now, what I put on my pretend blog at the park is officially on my real blog, thanks to a boy's imagination. So precious!
Then I stepped in gum on the way home. Blech.

Funny boy! They are obviously paying attention to what their mom likes to do!
You know, I don't think my kids have any idea about my blog.
That is precious, though.
PS...I can see your sun today. :)
My boys know I put pictures on the computer but they are clueless of the blog world. Very funny that he is that in the know! (and I loved the friends reference. I totally know)
Very cute! I'm sure my hypothetical children would say the exact same thing.
What a sad ending to a great story. :)
Ethan is darling, that's all there is to it.
So cute! I Love it!
He is so cute!
Oh that is by far the funniest thing of the day. I love it!
This reminds me of my sister, whose child has started asking, "mom aren't you going to take a picture?" whenever they do something 'cute' like emptying a cereal box onto the floor.
Man, that's funny. My kids just say: "Mommy, will you not be on the computer any more?"
