Six Kooky Things About Me According to My Husband

Not too long ago I did a six reasons why I am kooky post. Well, my cyber friend Lara did a meme where she asked her husband to list things that were weird about her. Being as how Lara's a genius, I decided to borrow her idea. Thanks, Lara! I asked Christian to list six things about me that are bizarre. He jokingly listed a few rated R items, and then I finally got him to list a few things I could actually post.
  1. I always have to have a blanket on at night, even when I am hot. It's true, I am an oven. I need the blanket for weight. A sheet just doesn't cut it. And it has to be right up to my chin, with my arms tucked under the covers. And my feet can never stick out. If Christian gets cold, he just snuggles up to me for a few minutes, and when he gets too hot, he rolls away.
  2. The fact that I always purchase blue and pink items for him bothers him. I LOVE blue on him. But his favorite color is green, and he wants to wear green, and pretty much only green. And he doesn't want his manhood taken away by wearing pink (it wasn't pink; it was a manly mauve).
  3. The fact that I don't like reheated chicken. This is how he put it: "You could buy the most expensive chicken at the most expensive restaurant, love every bite, but if you take home the leftovers and reheat it the next day, you will think the chicken is disgusting." Very, very true. Reheated chicken has a disgusting taste and aftertaste. Gross!
  4. "Your weird eyebrow thing." Eyebrows generally are the first thing I look at when I see someone's face. And I prefer that they are well-groomed, or at least brushed in the same direction. If Christian really wants to bug me, he rubs my eyebrows backward (from my temple to my nose). It drives me crazy!
  5. "Your weird sock thing." I do have a weird sock thing. I only have six pairs of socks in my drawer, two white, two black, one gray, and one red and white with snowmen and snowflakes on them. I want to find the "perfect" pair of socks, and if I don't, I don't buy them. When I went to St. George last Saturday, I looked for socks to buy, but none matched my idea of "perfect," so I didn't buy any. And now I have to do laundry more often because I don't have enough socks. Can someone suggest the "perfect" sock brand to me?
  6. Either thankfully or regretfully, he couldn't come up with a sixth item. So I will tell you one of the rated R things he said; except actually, this one is only rated PG: "When you're in the shower, you're naked. And when you're not in the shower, you are wearing those pajama pants." Yes, I love my pajama pants, okay?
That's enough of showing you my crazy side. I'm off to brush my eyebrows...

I hate reheated chicken too. It's gross. I used to be picky about my socks, then I decided I couldn't buy cool socks anymore because one pair of cool socks is 3or 4$, but a pack of 6 hanes is $5.

I could have written #1 and #2. I always have to have a blanket on me. And I love blue on Adam, but he hates it. He wouldn't be caught dead wearing pink.

That was great!! My hubby has these funky weird LONG eyebrow hairs--about 2 on each eyebrow. THEY DRIVE ME CRAZY!! I am always plucking them out and he is always making them stick up to drive me crazy!! UGH!!

Very fun! :)

I can't sleep without a blanket either. A heavy one. Hate hot summer nights, because it's hard to get comfy! :)

OOOh I hate that eye brow thing too. Dont touch my eyebrows.

I wonder if I could get my hubbie to play along and think of 6 things? These were fun to read! I'm the same way about blankets. And they have to be folded down just right before I tuck around my chin.

I should ask my husband to do this. The only problem would be limiting him to 6 things. I'm sure he could come up with a million. No exaggeration. (The fact that I'm a major exaggerator and get too worked up would have to be on the list.)

A groomed brow is a beutiful thing.

There was a guy on the news who had a unibrow for a long time. (Dangit, I can't remember his name) And then one day, it looked like someone finally pinned him down and plucked them for him. Although now they're too far apart. He looks concerned all the time now.

I can't believe you post every day! What are Ethan and Aidan doing when you post?? And read? I'm curious.

Yeah, you found that post that Aaron played with last night. I guess I'm going to learn to blog. It'll be fun but I'm concerned that it'll be a huge time-sucker!

Smartwool socks, my friend. They're pricey, but FANTASTIC. They are soft, not itchy, they keep your feet cool in the summer, warm in the winter - like magic!
There are a lot of hiker ones but you can also get lighter-weight ones.
Meanwhile...you have some pretty awesome kookynesses.

I totally have to have something on me at night or else I can't sleep no MATTER how warm it is. I think it's from growing up in a cold state most of my life. Or maybe just a security thing. Or maybe just both.

I have to have a blanket on, too! But all the time. Not just at night.
