Mizithra cheese from The Old Spaghetti Factory - I love The Old Spaghetti Factory. When I was young and we lived in Logan, any chance we had to go to Salt Lake City (1 1/2 hour drive) I would beg my mom to let us go there for dinner. My favorite is their mizithra cheese with browned butter spaghetti. YUM! Did you know that they sell their mizithra cheese by the 1/2 pound? While I was up north, I bought 1/2 pound ($6.00) and it lasted me five days. What I mean is that I had spaghetti and mizithra cheese for lunch and dinner every day for five days. I even shared with my boys and my husband once. I know, so thoughtful and giving of me. The rest of the week, I just made them fend for themselves (corn dogs and sandwiches).
Philosophy brand Purity face wash - I really, really don't think I can live without this stuff. I have been using it for probably five years, maybe more, and the one time I ran out I bought something else and hated it. So thank goodness for Nordstrom! They were out of the jumbo-size bottle, so I had to purchase the medium-size one. Since I live in a small town, if I were to ever accidentally run out of this stuff I might just have to overnight it from their website.
Target brand baby laundry detergent - I miss Target. When we lived in Orem, I used to go there at least twice a week. Sometimes I didn't even have anything I needed to purchase. I just liked roaming the store. Where I live now, the closest Target is 45 minutes away. But since I was up north, I had to get some Target brand baby laundry detergent. I love Dreft, don't get me wrong, but for 1/2 the price, the Target brand works just as well. (We have sensitive skin around here, so our...delicates have to be washed in it.) If I ran out while living here, I would probably go buy Dreft at Wal-Mart, but heck, it's practically worth the price of gas to drive 45 minutes to Target!
Borders - Oh how I miss Borders! When we lived in Ames, Iowa, I went there at least twice a month. I get their coupons e-mailed to me, and I can always manage to find something I want to purchase there. Now that I live far away from one, getting those coupons e-mailed to me just about kills me.Last week I mentioned all of the restaurants I miss because I live in a small town, and the friends who live up north whom I love dearly. I love where I live, and I really miss some things about living in a larger city. I know I will get used to it eventually. Although, if our town ever gets a Target, I will know we have "arrived," and I can die happy!
