I feel really strongly about building up my
food supply, and hope to have a three month supply soonish. So when Shannon from
Shelf Reliance emailed me and asked if I would be interesting in trying out their
Cansolidator Pantry and giving one away on my blog, I was excited. Anything to help make my
food storage more organized and manageable is very well received. Here is my pantry:

Notice where the white Cansolidator Pantry is located. When we first moved here last July, that area the size of the Cansolidator Pantry is how much
food storage we brought from Iowa. 15 cans of food, to be exact. Aren't you impressed with how much I have collected in the last 10 months? The problem is, I'm not very organized...when I get home from the grocery store, I shove stuff in the pantry wherever it will fit.
When the Cansolidator Pantry comes to your house, it is not put together. You have to do it yourself. I immediately asked my husband if he would do it, and he said, "Nope, this is your thing. You can do it." I just about started to hyperventilate, but I pulled it out of the box and read the instructions. Oh, good - there are no screws or tools involved. It was really easy; I put it together it tear-free. So then I got a couple of cans to figure out how far the spacing should be, and that's when my kids noticed what I was doing. They came over and started putting one can at the top, and watching it slide down to the bottom. Over and over. They each said, "This is fun!" at separate times. Yes, it was a great game, until Aidan dropped a can of kidney beans on his toe. (P.S. In this picture, I hadn't quite finished putting it together. But the kids couldn't wait to try it out. That's why the white bar is laying on the ground in front of it.)

So, here's why I like the Cansolidator Pantry: I really like how it rotates your food. You put the newest stuff on top, and pull out the oldest stuff from the bottom. It has room for four different rows of cans. If you will notice, I have a little space left in a couple of the slots, so now I'm excited to buy more mandarin oranges and refried beans to fill the space. The only "con" for me personally is that I tend to buy two cans of stuff that I use only occasionally, so it would be hard to have two cans of many different items in it because you would only be able to use what you can see in the very front. (Did that run-on sentence make sense?) But because I buy cases of mandarin oranges, kidney beans, green beans and chicken broth, it is definitely worth having at least one or two of these Cansolidator Pantrys. Plus, it's a fun toy, until somebody's toe gets hurt! Seriously, I really like it, and I will definitely be putting it to good use in my pantry.
One of you lucky ducks will be winning a
Cansolidator Pantry. You get two chances to win: #1, leave a comment on this post; #2, sign up for the Shelf Reliance newsletter (
click here and put your e-mail in the box in the top left corner of the page), and then come back and tell me you signed up (continental US only). I will be announcing the winner next Friday, May 29. Good luck, and may The Force be with you (Christian and Ethan have been watching the Star Wars movies together - I just had to reference The Force).

OH!! Gimme, gimme; I need, I need!!! I heart Shelf Reliance, and I already have their newsletter, but I signed up again so I could be in your giveaway. :)
I really want one of these! I've always wanted their whole shelf one (you know the one that is a pantry all by itself), but this will be great until I can afford that one!
I just signed up for the newsletter!
I'm so in! I need one of these. And their stuff is so expensive. . . Someday. Someday I'll be able to afford the huge one. But until then, please?
Okay, I have officially signed up. . .
I LOVE THIS! You know how I feel about being self reliant. This would suit me perfectly!!
Okay..I'm not usually one to take an opportunity at a second entry..But I did! I want this..that bad.
I've officially signed up for the newsletter.

I shoud take a photo of my pantry room.. we have like a million cans... but none of them get rotated(Ithink).. this would be a start to what I really need!! thanks for the opp...
May the luck be with me!!
I've looked at these and other similar things, many times. I would love to win one of these. I'm just starting to get passionate about food storage. I have a book called "I Dare You to Eat It" which gives good guidelines for creating a 3 month supply. I'm currently only 20 pages into it, but I like what I've read so far. You can get it at Costco. There's also a website/blog www.idareyoutoeatit.com
I registered for the newsletter too.
I hope I win! It would be nice to get my cans out of my lazy susan where Grey drops them on my floor and dents it.
I signed up for the newsletter.
This would be SO cool to have!!! Come on and PICK ME!!!!!!
I really wish I had somewhere to put a pantry!
I don't have much "pantry" space either, but I bought a small cabinet and one of these and it has made my life so easier....let's just cross my fingers and hope I can win another one here.
And your cupboard is amazing. I would die for that much space!
Even I would love to receive one of these!
and yes, i signed up!
One of these would be great for the little space we have. Thanks
I'm not much for leaving comments....however, I think the "consolidator pantry" is a great idea. I am defintely in and will be learning more about this great system.
oohhh...I've always wanted one of these. Thanks!

I think you should pick me, first I really need help getting organized and second my MIL is a huge food storage person and my hubby really loves these things(it's how she raised him, good woman). I will go and sign up for the newsletter right now so put me down for two entries!
I just signed up for the newsletter!
Justin and I were just talking about the fact that our pantry needs organizing. I told him I needed a can thing like you are giving away. Hopefully it is kismet!
I'd love one. What a great idea to help rotate your food. Way to go on getting your food storage more up to date. I would love an invite to your family blog-if you would want me stalking it.
Just signed up for the newsletter. Anything to help with food storage rocks!!!
i wish my pantry was as large as yours. :)
Cool! I want one! :)
Awesome giveaway!
Signed up for newsletter:).
Awesome :)
Great job Erin. I love it. I get those too. So worth it.
Look at you with all your fancy giveaways and helpful product reviews! I've always wanted to try one of these. I'm usually pretty good about rotation and organization, but when James helps me put the groceries away... well, I love my husband very much. We'll leave it at that.
We have been working on building up our food storage too. Sign me up for the drawing!
this looks like the solution for my pantry problems..
sign me up!
your pantry looks so good! i would be afraid to sow mine!
ok..i gave myself a second chance.. signed up for the newsletter!!
I would love to rotate my cans. I also need to build up my my food storage. I have quite a bit that could get the two of us by for a bit.
I hope I win!
I am by no means trying to be snarky, but do you mean continental U.S. or contiguous U.S.? If the former, then sign me up! If the latter, I might have to shell over the cash myself, cuz I could really use one of those.
Good job on starting your food storage! That's the key: just start and add little bit by little bit. You've made good progress already. Doesn't it feel good?
I would love that cansolidator!
Okay, I signed up for the newsletter! Count me in again!
Thanks!
I always wanted these!
I keep thinking of reasons why I can't start my food storage yet. Like oh, say, I live in a two bedroom condo. But then I have to remember we just had an earthquake on Sunday and I'm four blocks from a possible tidal wave waiting to happen. So maybe I should start..
I just put up some cansolidator pantrys a few months ago. I love them!
Pick me! Pick me!
WOO HOO...what an awesome prize!!! I buy a ton of the same cans of stuff...and boy does my pantry sure need the help! Thanks for giving us a chance to win!
And YUP...I signed up for their newsletter...I'm excited to see what other cool things they have available!
I've seen these before. Pretty cool. I'd LOVE to have one of those!
How wonderful. I am going to have to get some of these - I sooo need more help w/my pantry.
P.S. I signed up for the newsletter too. Such a great website & many wonderful products.

Cool. My husband and I have started looking into those little gizmos. I'm glad that you did a little blurb about them.
Wow that is awesome. I have been wanting one of these for a long time. I guess if I don't win I can start saving my pennies right?
Liz
Ps Signed up for the newsletter!
I was totally checking these out today at Costco or something like it. It is so cool.
signed up for news letter
I just realized I didn't follow the rules. Here is me coming back to say I have the newsletter. :)
One question - Do they sell these in Canada? I want one!
I wonder if we'll see these on infomercials soon? I'd love to get one.
Who doesn't like to win stuff? :)
Ok Erin, I also signed up for the newsletter. It looks like a very interesting web site. I will have to look at it closer. Thanks for the heads up.
That IS really cool! I need several of those! But to win one to try it out would be great!
:~D
...And I just signed up for the newsletter!
:~D
I really need like 4 of these. I bet I could get the kids to put the groceries away with one of them.
I would LOVE to win!!!
I too am working on our food storage--but it takes a LOT of space for 8 people :)
I just signed up for the newsletter--I buy almost everything by the case!
I want one.
I also want a bigger pantry. (Mine's too shallow for the consolidator, which for now would go in the basement.)
I've had my eye on one of these! I would love to win one.
I'm on the mailing list too.
Ok I'll bite. Sign me up.
I am seriously impressed! When I was down there last year, you had that tiny spot where the cans are and that was IT! WOW!!!! Good job on the food storage!!!!! Seriously!
This is awesome. We have a pantry and we have decent food storage but if you ask me where something is or what we have I could not tell you. Lets hope I figure it out before we have to use it and don't have too many gaps!
They are great. I have been wanting one anyway. Put me down and I did sign up for the newsletter.
(Kate newsletter.)
did it. the newsletter. cool.
thanks for offering a free one. it is a great idea!
you must really love going to your pantry now!
I've seen these at Costco-they seem nifty.
I never win anything though, so my odds aren't good.
I have always thought that those look like such a good idea. Every time they have them at Costco, I think about getting one, but never want to spend the money. What I really want is the big ones that fit #10 cans in them too.
Hey, this is my first time on your blog. Great giveaway. I'd love to win!!!
OK, I signed up for the newsletter, too, but I'm afraid all I will end up doing is coveting. I already covet the idea that Utah Costcos sell the products - why can't they sell them in Oregon, too? :(
Anyways, enter me again - I would love to win!!!
Count me in, we've been wanting one of those for a while.
cool gadget!!! my kids would be like yours and keep putting the cans thru:)
