WhoTube?

I am not really into YouTube. I don't get it - you go to the main page, search "drunk guys dancing the Macarena," and find hundreds of options to watch? I guess I just don't understand the hype. However, my husband enjoys finding cool videos on there. Here are a few we have liked:

If you play Mario Kart on the Wii:

Christian's favorite scene from 30 Rock:

If you watch Lost, you will love this (P.S. Motherboard posted this on her blog a day or two ago, but I already had this post written in draft, and for some silly reason I think I need three YouTube links, and I'm too darn lazy to go look for a different third one):

What are your favorite YouTube links? What have I been missing out on that I definitely need to see?

Oh the joys of youtube. I have to admit that guy singing the Mario Kart song has a pretty good voice.

I laughed my butt off at the Sista Salad video called 'Yo Comments are Whack'. I also get a kick out of the 'Fireman vs Policeman' or the 'Retarded Policeman' (But they are kind of vulgar -just a warning) They are even funnier considering my day to day life....

My husband is obsessed with YouTube, too, only he just looks up orchestra performances. I mainly use it for looking up singing performances, but I always appreciate a funny video or two!

My favorites are the Miranda videos I posted on my blog the other day.

I love the ones of Susan Boyle and Paul Potts. Also, the people that make the lego movies are kind of crazy, but kind of fun. My girls like to watch clips of The Smurfs. There is also Fail Blog, but you can just watch the videos on their website. I try not to get on there too much because there is a LOT of bad stuff, but a lot of funny stuff as well.

Achmed the dead terrorist. You have to watch it (if you're not offended by a little swearing)

Also, watch "The Lord's Prayer" there is a little Asian girl (maybe 2 years old) that sings it. It's amazing! I know there are others, I just can't think of any right now cuz it's still early for me.

If you search for gymnastics and Paul Hunt on there you'll find old video footage of my son's coach doing a 'comedy' routine. Of course, back in the 80's a guy dressing like a girl and performing at mainstream venues wouldn't have been considered as creepy as it might now. Oh how times have changed.

I usually look for scenes from TV shows I missed. I don't watch YouTube a ton.

Who tube? I can't watch it from my computer anyway. I have to wait until we're in bed and watch it with Greg on his computer. I'll be watching your Lost and 30 Rock ones tonight. . .

I don't really do a lot of YouTube watching. My 9 year old son does. I'm going to ask him for some funny links as soon as he gets home from school.

That 30 Rock clip has finally convinced me that I need to start watching that show. I know, I'm a little behind on the times.

We watch as much You Tube as TV in our house. My kids laugh at the FRED clips (so do I) and I sneak "Unicorn Planet" on when I need a hysterical politically incorrect laugh.

To feel moved I watch the SOund of Music performance in the Antwerp Train station, and just to freak myself out I watch old Sesame Street clips and sing along.

And that is just in the last few days.......

Love that 30 Rock clip!!! I watch grey's anatomy, so I don't get to see much of the show, but it is hilarious.

My husband also loves youtube. It must be the thing to do when you're bored at the office.

I don't do youtube a whole bunch, normally just when I miss an episode of Idol, or want to find a movie clip for my blog. I recently posted one from The Notebook.

At first I just would watch music video's and listen to music. Then I got some of the funny stuff.

Charlie the Unicorn.

Charlie bit my finger.

Can I have yo numba

Bonquiqui

and I like to watch interviews of my favorite artists.

By the way, the mario kart video is really really good. I didn't suspect that from someone who taped a stash on to make him look like mario. Which he does. Or luigi. Very nice voice :) I listened to the whole thing.

I have to say I like the "Lost" one best. That guy is some kind of talented, huh? I love youtube. I don't go there and surf, I just go there to look up specific things.

Paul Hunt. Olympic gymnast. His clips are so dang funny.

I never go on You Tube myself but I do enjoy watching what others have sorted out of the dross.

I never really go on you tube...it is fun to see what other people find, though. One of my favorites is Twilight the puppet saga. So darn funny.

Devri said...

I never get on unless some one put it on their blog, but I am a fan of the man gymnast paul hunt.

Too funny! Around here, we like Magical Trevor, and Charlie the Unicorn and Candy Mountain. ( I know, so juvenile).

You might have already seen this, but I think it's hysterical (although part of my laughter is because I know all the people in it):

AHAHAHA! Those are so awesome! Ben Linus SO freaked me out reading that thing! I've seen the Mario one before and loved it, and the 30 rock one is hilarious too! Ah, I love a good laugh.

I love watching a funny youtube if someone sends me a link, but I am so clueless as to how to find one myself. I mean, it's not like you can just search for "funny."
I'm excited to come back later and check out all the links people are leaving! Sweet.

search for david goes to the dentist. IT IS AMAZING! Be ready to pee your pants with laughter.

Just SO said...

We use YouTube to watch old muppet shows here. We love it for that. And I love to find old commercials.

The Kiwi is a good animated one to watch if you haven't seen it and there are links from there to other cute ones.

Oh and I love watching music vids on there as well.

I hope I'm not being rude by linking to my blog, but the video is already imbedded there.
This one is hilarious! Go potty before you watch it!

Used to watched American Idol clips, now I have to go to the main American Idol page for that. Just grateful they still post them. I usually watch music videos.

I think Charlie the Unicorn is SO Dumb! But my family loves it. I didn't get it. I also forgot to mention, I used to watch movies on there when I worked at the mortuary and was bored. They only show in 10-11 minute clips, but I've watched Jim Henson's "Frog Prince" and "The Chipmunk Adventure." You can find anything on there!

Watch these, I think you'll enjoy them:

I love the mario kart song. Most because I love anything video game related. And the drawn on mario stache just brings it all together.

I love the Ben Linus clip! He is creepy no matter what he does! (okay so it isnt really the character Ben reading it, but the real actor... but seriosly, still creepy!)

I actually love the MarioKart song, as in, really actually love it. A lot. (Did I mention I love it?)

I'd say we're a fairly high-YouTube-use family. Lately my kids and husband have become Three Stooges fans thanks to YouTube.

Quite a while ago someone pasted together all the Jim & Pam scenes from The Office into about 22 YouTube videos (if I remember right) and I watched the whole thing.

Anonymous said...

Somebody else's link just reminded me of a favorite of mine featuring the same comedian - it's a sketch about getting a manicure:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baDJ-ZIvYy0&feature=related

I also searched for the Jim/Pam videos but it looks like they've been taken down (NBC's pretty strict about what they'll allow.) But you can watch about a gazillion fan videos with clips set to music. (Not that I recommend it.)

My daughter and I have been looking for New Moon trailers; and also scary ghost things. She likes to scare me with them.
