I'm still at my parents' house, and there is no way to get a picture I took of him from my camera to their computer. Believe me, I tried. So bummer, you can't see how cute he is.
So, do you want to know how my week of service went? I really had fun figuring out things to do. Among some of the things I did: I donated to a good cause; I brought cookies to an elderly man who lives across the street; I visited with a sister I visit teach who just had surgery; and I very
This week, my goal is (hopefully) easy: in bed, lights out, by 11:00 every night. I tend to be exhausted by 11:00, but I love the quiet time in the house so much I stay up later anyway. I hope to listen to my body and go to bed when I am tired, instead of holding out rebelliously until I can't even think straight anymore. Good luck to me!
And good luck to any of you who choose to do a goal For Just One Week!

Yay! I am so happy for Brooke! I can't wait to see pictures.
Glad your sister had her baby and that all is ok. Maybe you can load the pics when you get home?
Hope you have a safe drive.
FJ1W-I will commit to my writing. I started a chapter (free-writing) and the first chapter looks great. Of course I need to write some revisions but I am going to see where this one will take me. I am learning, slowly learning. I think my writing has gotten better. What do they say? Practice makes perfect. Some day, you will see me in print. AND not just on my blog...Have a great week Erin. I am glad you are my bloggy friend. Maybe some day we can meet in person, (if that is not too scary for you...) LOL.
How exciting for your sister and your whole family. Glad you could share in the new-ness and happy times! Safe travels.
Congratulations to you, your sister and the whole family. New additions are always so exciting. In your shoes, I would have made that same drive. Some things you just have to be there for.
I love your 'just for one week' posts. Going to bed on time sounds like a good one. I'm 39 minutes late for curfew!
new babies are worth the drive. Too bad no pics.
I will watch/read one conference talk each day this week.
Congratulations to Brooke! That is my kind of service. :)
Congrats to your sister! I love when kids play together with cousins like that.. it really makes life easier.
Great job in your service!
Yay for Brooke!! I can't wait to see pics of her beautiful baby boy!!
And 11:00?! I'm lucky if I make it to 9:00!!
Congrats---hooray for a newborn! I can't wait for my sisters-in-law to have their babies.
I like the idea of cookie giving. This week, I will take cookies to three people.
Such fun news about your new nephew. I too would have jumped in my car.
You are going to make a great aunt.

congrats to your family! i can't wait for pictures.
Oh I love new baby smell! Lucky you. That is the For Just One Week Goal that I have been contemplating doing but don't dare put it in writing. (because I know that I will probably not do very well and then I will have to be accountable).
11:00? I tend to be exhausted by 9:00.
So glad Brooke and baby are doing well. I wish my sister(s) would have a baby.
Congrats on the new addition to the family! There is nothing better than a new baby!
Congratulations to your sister! and to you too Auntie! And I hardly ever go see my mom 5 hours away for that same reason! but it is worth it! have a great time with your family!
Congratulations on the newest member of your family! holding newborns are the best, they are all wrinkly and squishy and just bring peace to the soul. Congratulations!!!
I love your goals for the week. I think I am going to do it too...Thank you for the great idea!
Congrats on the nephew! That's a great way to spend a week.
Way to go driving 2 kids alone for 5 hours. Have done that with my 5 and it can get crazy! Newborn smell is the best in the world.
Congrats to your sister, Erin. And congrats to you too for reaching all of your goals. Just the thought of driving 5 hours by myself with the kids would scare me. I'm proud of you!!
Glad you had a wonderful weekend. Congrats on the new addition. You did an awesome job on meeting your goals of service this past week. You will be blessed.
Congrats on being an Auntie again - yay!
My goal for this week: Turn off the TV for at least an hour every day and work on my novel.
I am so glad you broke down and went up to see her
I am so glad all is well!
I will continue to keep her in my prayers.
Congrats on the newest member of the fam!
And really 11:00pm?? I barely make it to 9 if I am lucky!
New babies are so wonderful. And that first long drive with kids is nerve wracking. When I first got married and found out that my SIL drove from Utah to CA regularly with all 7 of her children and no husband I couldn't believe it. I thought "I'm not that brave, I could never do that." But here I am, 8 years and 4 kids later and I've done St. George at least 3 times and CA twice by myself with kids. And it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It gets easier every time.
Oh Erin. This is so me. I have had an 11 PM bedtime goal for about 2 years. Sometimes succesful (like once every other month)...but I too relish the productivity & quietness I acheive past kids bedtime.
Congrats to your Sister! You are so nice to travel so far!
Congrats on being an aunt again....new babies are so fun! I could hold them and stare at them all day long.
Way to go!! On being spontaneous and on the whole service thing. And congratulations to your sister--I hope she and baby are doing well.
Congrats! Can't wait to see pictures of the beautiful baby! :o)
Sounds like a good week of service! I need to start getting to bed at 11. I have a bad habit of staying up later.
I'm so glad you drove up and were able to be there and see that cute little boy.
I too love that quiet time after everyone has gone to bed. It's just so pleasant.
Congrats to your sister! I would drive ten hours to see my sister. i only have one and she lives across the country. :(
Bed early? What the heck does that mean?
Congrats to your sister! What a wonderful wonderful thing birth is. It brings so many of us together. I'm glad you braved the drive and were able to see the baby. I'm impressed with all of your service! So many people were blessed through your hands.
congrats to her!! Enjoy your visit!
That's so awesome that you got to go be with your sister and that new baby! Who I bet is SUPER cute!! :)
