I tend to live my life in a bit of a fog. Not really focused, not really here, not really present. I know this because I have seen more revelatory glimpses and more moments of clarity since Kaitlyn was born than I have ever seen before. I don't know whether it is my age or Kaitlyn that has brought on this change, but I welcome it. Life is so much more colorful. I'm not just living to survive until the next day, or to just "make it through." I have done that for many years. I'm ready to move on. I'm ready to make changes. Life is worth savoring.
I'm going to go crawl on the floor with Kaitlyn right now so I can see things from her perspective. What are you going to do today to savor life?

Does taking a nap count?
I would be so afraid to see my house from level... Can you say Dust Bunnies?
I plan on enjoying my breaking my fast:)
I'm with you Erin. 2011 is my year to be better too. I am cuddling a sick child with a fever today. And I love to just stare at every millimeter of Jonah.
Oh I love this. I think I'll copy you and just get down at Claira's level. Brilliant.
That is kind of how I'm feeling about this year. Ready to be awesome and experience everything (nothing fancy, just the life I have and love).
And also: You have an iPad? How do you love it?
It's so hard to let loose sometimes, especially when you have nagging worries in the back of your mind. I'm hoping this year I'll take the time to actually enjoy my crazy life!
What a great idea. I love the times where I have Sissy's full attention and she has mine. Best moments
I'm going to play with my granddaughter.
Great thoughts today!
I love it! I certainly go in cycles with this. Some days I just make it through while others I'm enjoying the rollercoaster with my hands in the air!
I think I will go make a cake with my kids.
Love this--definitely need to savor life more--I am often a little foggy:)
My littlest one is sick so instead being frustrated, I just sat and held her as much as she wanted today. It felt good.
I taught my 2-year-old how to play Hungry Hungry Hippos. Because the other kids were at school and I was bored. I think I've turned her into a fanatic. She wanted to take the game to bed with her tonight.
I've been playing my own version of tag with the boys every night. Lots of giggles ensue & result in very tired boys. It's a win-win!
