This morning, the kids really wanted to go to Target. We drove past Wal-Mart (which takes 3 minutes to get to) to go to Target (which takes 10 minutes to get to.) We got some fantastic deals! Which means, of course, that we spent a lot of money; when you're getting good deals, you purchase more things! We spent almost two hours there, but they had so many cool things: the dollar section has amazing Christmas stuff, they had so many clearance endcaps, the toys just had to be looked at one at a time (all 6 aisles), and I had to check out the childrens' clothing clearance racks. The boys were very well behaved and never complained.
Then we went to the coolest playground ever - with one huge caveat. It is HUGE, as you will see by the pictures. However, it is all made of wood, and Ethan got the biggest splinter I have ever seen, over a centimeter, and we had to go home after only 25 minutes of playing because of it.

These two pictures make up about half of the playground.
Posing on the tires.
Right after the splinter came out.
Oh yeah, last night we played Candyland as a family. When we finished playing, Aidan wanted to make some train tracks out of the cards...

isn't Target great!! I especially love the dollar spot. The park looks awesome but OUCH!!!That sliver looks like it hurts.
That is a cool playground. I like target. However, we only have a WM here.
I spent a while at Target yesterday too! I LOVE that store! It is close to my house - lucky me - The playground looks cool too
Good old Roosevelt Park. We walk to that one once in awhile. On Sunday nights in the summer, they have folksy bands play.
I love the Candy Land train tracks.
Oh I miss Target! How fun to find so many deals and have the company of such happy little helper shoppers.
Awesome park! I think you should just tote along an extra pair of tweezers every time you go so a visit won't get cut short.
Fun looking park! I wish we could be there to play with you guys. You know I don't have a target or a Walmart. Wish I did. Love that Target! Love the Avacado "Ethanism". Miss you guys!

You are so lucky to have Target so close to you, and to have your boys behave so well. Devon is at the point where he HATES riding in the cart because Carson doesn't have to, so the whole time I hear, "Wanna get down, wahhhhhhh.... (checking to see if I'm paying attention, perfectly not-crying moment)... wanna get down!! WAHHH!!!" over and over till I get him down and he proceeds to sprawl on the floor in the middle of the aisle to block everyone. Yes Devon, I love shopping with you, can we do it more often? Sorry, that was a rant!
