Pin the Car on the Finish Line

Grandma Ruth sent the boys a Valentine's Day care package (thanks, Grandma Ruth!). They LOVE this game she included. They want to play again and again, so I have to carefully unpeel the stickers off of the track for the next time. As you can see, all of Aidan's cars are a little low (I taped the poster too high, but don't worry - we will be playing it again). But Ethan had it all figured out. Most of his are right by the finish line. I will have to spin him three times before he plays next time. But just thinking about spinning makes me nauseated.

Yesterday we went and visited a friend who had just had surgery. (I know, bringing two young active boys might have been a little optimistic. But they did pretty well.) Ethan fell in love with a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse book while there, and so we borrowed it so he could read it at home. He wouldn't let it go. He even had to sleep with it last night. As soon as he woke up this morning, he said, "Read the book to me!" If books like this make him more interested in reading, I guess I had better go buy a couple!

Zoe has been sleeping with her books lately too. It's nice when she wakes up and has something to occupy her.
