Wearing his hospital gown.

This was right before we came home. He was obviously doing better, by how intently he was watching Dora and counting to five in Spanish along with her.
His surgery only lasted 20 minutes. They gave him a stuffed monkey, which he brought home and introduced to his small stuffed teddy bear (because they are the same size, so he knows they will be friends). We've been home for an hour and a half, and now he is asking for fish for lunch. So I guess he's doing pretty well! We're glad he can hear so well now. Now let's just hope that these tubes stay in until his ears can outgrow this problem!

What a tough kid! Wow! Poor guy! And yes.. the lemon meringue is because of my grandma. :) She made the best lemon meringue pies and that will always be one of my fondest memories of going to her house!
We are glad to hear everything went well. No fun to have a kid in the hospital for whatever reason.
Glad he's doing so well. Last time it seemed like he bounced back pretty quickly as well. How much longer until he "outgrows" it?
"Outgrows" it? HAH! There was a 10 year old who was having the same procedure done as Ethan this morning. We'll see.
I'm glad everything went well and he did well also. Hope everything works out the best it can! Tough, cute kid:).
Way to be a trooper, Ethan!
I didn't know he was having tubes put in! I'm glad all went well! Leda's had tubes put in twice! Yay for ear tubes!! Cute pictures!
so sad! I hate seeing kids in the hospital!
Is it just me noticing or are there a ton more ear problems this year in kids? It's a good thing kids are so brave. Glad all went well!
