No Church!

Church was cancelled today. Last night, we had freezing rain (1/2 inch). Then this morning, it snowed 3 inches, and it is supposed to snow up to 3 more (snow on top of ice -- scary). Plus, there have been wind gusts of 62 mph. So there is snow blowing everywhere, and you can't see much. Christian and I can't remember ever having a time before where church was cancelled. Ethan was VERY excited that we got to have a mini sacrament meeting at our house. We sang songs, prayed, took the sacrament (our bishop told us to do it in our homes), bore our testimonies to each other, and talked about the Holy Ghost. It was a spiritual experience. Then Ethan said, "I want to have classes now." So we looked through the Friend Magazines, and found things to cut out and talk about. What a special day, to have church in our home. We have enjoyed each other's company, and now I'm getting off the computer to go spend more time with my family!

Yikes, what horrible weather! We were there for 1 or 2 church cancelings, and also enjoyed the sweetness of church at home. I'm glad you were able to have such a nice day at home.

We have had church canceled 2 times this winter and I don't remember a time before when it was canceled. Caleb got up this morning and asked if church was canceled. That is such a not normal thing to wonder about. Funny. Glad you had a wonderful day.

We have had church canceled many times due to snow (or the risk of snow). We Washingtonians are wimps when it comes to frozen stuff. It still sounds like you made the best of the day though. I hope spring comes soon for you guys! It was 50 degrees for us yesterday. So nice!

That is sooo cute! When we cancel church, we don't get to do all that. We sit in the dark and talk about how peaceful it is after a hurricane! (Or during! Or right before!)
