If You Give a Mom a Moment: No TV

No TV

Let me mark this momentous occasion. Today is Monday, February 18, and it is currently 8:11 PM. Both of my kids are in bed, asleep, and today my kids didn't watch one minute of television, or even touch the computer mouse. This has never happened before, and it may never happen again. We played with trains, and danced to music (Queens of the Stone Age --yeah, my kids are hardcore). We ate snacks, and read books. They dunked their heads in the bathroom sink while I talked to my sister on the phone. Then they took baths. And now, they are asleep. The house is quiet, and I feel pretty good about myself today. My kids can go 24 hours without watching tv! I think I deserve something. Okay, okay, I'm actually eating the Peanut M&M's I've been saving in the cupboard all day. So that's something. Yay for me!

It is a waste of time and energy to worry about what others are thinking about you. because... You can never know exactly what another person is thinking...AND, the wost part is...they are usually not thinking about you at all.
