Some people have a hard time getting to sleep at night. I've never had that problem. I am always so exhausted I fall asleep right away. However, if I am woken up in the middle of the night for any reason, frequently I can't get back to sleep because my mind starts working and I start thinking about stuff. So, at 3:00 this morning we were woken up by Aidan for a, well, constipation reason. After we got back in bed, this is some of what I thought about for the next hour:
-What to do about Aidan's problem
-What to put on the blog today (I didn't come up with any great epiphanies...that's why you are reading this crazy list)
-Scheduling a hair cut
-The talk Christian and I had last night about my desire to be a better mom, and Christian saying I am an incredible mom and to believe that about myself
-How Christian's job interview went this week (it went well), and the upcoming ones next week
-Where we will move in the fall
-Buying a home
-What to make for dinner tonight (I still don't know, but it will have ground beef in it because that's what's thawing)
-What to make for Easter dessert on Sunday (We were invited to Easter dinner with a family in our ward. Anyone have any ideas on what I can make?)
-The Friends episode we watched last night (the one where Monica has a closet she won't let Chandler get into)
-Making a paper chain with Ethan today: 37 days until his birthday. He is very excited.
-The Survivor episode I recorded last night but haven't watched yet. I wonder who was voted off?
-I got up and got a drink because I was thirsty, and then put chapstick on because my lips were dry.
-Then I started becoming ultra-aware of every time I moved, because I didn't want to wake Christian because he was so exhausted.
-Then I was hot, so I threw the blanket off.
-Then I was cold, so I pulled it back up.
I finally drifted off to sleep sometime after 4:00. I wonder why I feel tired today?

I hate when that happens! I hope you can squeeze in some time to rest today.
As for dessert, we always had jello salad on easter. I don't know if you like jello or not, but if you do and need a good jello salad recipe, I can get one for you. My Aunt's is yummy.
Goodness, that stinks. I don't really have problems falling asleep, although when it's closer to due date I know I will! You do have a lot on your mind. My thing is usually with my kids. I have a yummy lemon cake recipe I'm making on Sunday. It has 3 layers that is easy and really good. I hope his interviews go well next week, and I'm glad they have so far. It'd be wonderful if you ended up here again!
That sounds like my EVERY night. I fall asleep OK, but I always wake up somewhere around 4am, and can't go back to sleep and I'm hypersensitive to Louie's wiggling and breathing. Sigh. I'm still all messed up from Calvin's babyhood, my body never got back to a normal cycle. Do you think it ever will?
You could make cheeseburger pie for dinner (Cal's fave). And for Easter dessert...hmmmm. Cake, pie, or maybe chocolate covered strawberries? Have fun!
I do that too. Good episode of Survivor last night. I am just sad that most of the interesting people got voted off in the first weeks. Oh well.
wow that does sound exausting! I can't wait to watch survivor to see who was voted off.
hope you got in a good nap today

Isn't that so annoying when you can't sleep and know that you will be dragging the next day as a result. So frustrating! Good luck sleeping beauty!
That happens to me a lot as well. I start making a to-do list in my head for the next day. Then I have to spend a good amount of time convincing myself that I do not need to get up and actually write the things down. Then I spend some time worrying that I'll forget them. It takes a while for my brain to shut down and let me sleep. And every time, the next day I regret not writing down the things I thought of, because I have forgotten them. I'm a mess.
I know those nights all too well!! Jarrett wakes up around 2 every night and gets in bed with us, waking me up and I do the same thing!! It sucks! I'm so sorry.... :(
