The Interview Process

We are at the point in Christian's career where he is applying for jobs, because once his internship is done at ISU he will graduate with his Ph.D. We have been applying for positions over the last couple of months, and then waiting on pins and needles to hear from places. The process is a little slow going; it seems even slower to us because we are so excited about it! So far Christian has four interviews, three phone ones at this point, and he will be flying out to Utah in a couple of weeks for an on-site interview. And we haven't heard from a couple of places yet, but hopefully will in the next few weeks. We have been staying up late at night, researching cost of living and housing in all of the places we have applied. We talk about the future, and where Ethan will be going to school, and what is important to us (I like bigger cities, Christian likes smaller towns; outdoor activities, etc.). We weigh the pros and cons of each site, knowing that the lists don't really matter until we get an offer. One thing I do know is that Christian has had excellent training at ISU, and will be a fantastic counselor wherever he goes. This process could last three more weeks, or it could last three more months. We'll keep you posted, and please pray for us in the meantime!

You know I would love for you to be back in Utah, but I know that you will end up where you need to be and will love it, just like you did with Iowa. Good Luck!

Exciting, I'm in total suspense as to where you guys will end up! It's such a weird stage to be in, not knowing where you'll be in 6 months. Good luck. Christian is impressive, he'll do fine!

ARIZONA! The weather is great, great outdoors, and big city, and small towns. Plus, we, I mean you could have family close by!
