Well, I have nothing of great importance or excitement to write about. But I know I have loyal readers (aka stalkers) who check my blog and expect something new. So what am I going to do? Randomly ramble.
I went and got a sandwich at the Café today. Ham and asparagus on ciabatta bread. Yum! Can I just say I love having a good restaurant in my backyard? I don't have to get the kids buckled up; we just walk through the parking lot and we're there! And the best part was that I fed the kids waffles before I went so they wouldn't need to purchase anything. Ahhh, I'm frugally minded. Not just a hat rack, my friends. (The previous sentence was a quote from the tv show Friends.)
The day before yesterday it was 55 degrees. We went to the park and played, and only wore light jackets. Then yesterday, it snowed from the time we woke up until 3:00 PM. It never got above 34 degrees. Today, the snow is still covering the ground. Yuck. I thought winter was over. I don't like being tantalized with spring, and then feeling suckered because winter comes back with a bang.
Christian is interviewing again today. By the end of this process he will be an expert at interviewing. The stress is causing both of us to lose sleep though. I could say I'll be glad when it is all over, and I will be glad when we have a job, but that doesn't mean I'm not glad and happy now. I've got a psychologist husband who has taught me that it's not very good to think "I'll be happy when..." thoughts. Be happy now!
My dad's birthday was yesterday. Happy belated birthday, Dad! It's a bummer my husband got to be with my parents and celebrate his birthday dinner and not me. But hopefully you felt loved and appreciated Dad.
That's all I can think of to ramble about. Hopefully that will satiate your appetite until next time!

Is Christian still here? He should drop by - I'd feed him or something.
I should not read about food this late at night--any mention of food when I'm just slightly hungry is bad for me! We are also getting teased with spring--this weekend is cold and snowy:(. So sad, oh well, I guess soon enough. That's a great reminder to be content and happy with our life as it is now!!!
You made me giggle with the Friends quote! Love the rambling! It is fun to hear about all parts of your life. I wish I could come and eat at your yummy restaurant (Rusty told me once that I am the kind of person who would fly or drive a long way away just to EAT somewhere). The sandwich sounded yummy! Miss you!
Not just a hat rack. Ha! Classic.
That sandwich sounded so yummy! Lucky you to have that place so close! Hope all is well...
I would do the same thing, feed my kids so I didn't have to buy them someting at a restaurant. Best wishes to Christian!
