Far West and Adam-Ondi-Ahman

After Liberty Jail we drove to Far West. It is a temple site, with four cornerstones of the temple that was never built (yet, anyway). We were the only people there and we loved every minute of it. It felt so peaceful and reverent.
So green and pretty

Even the bathroom was quaint

And last, but certainly not least, we went to Adam-Ondi-Ahman, an amazingly beautiful and peaceful/spiritual place.

The boys having fun

And then we drove home. After such a long and fun-filled day, the boys were exhausted:

Here are a couple of things that struck us as funny/interesting on the trip:

-a giant tractor drove into a gas station to "fill up"

-we drove past a street sign labeled "Utah Lane." Um, I know we have been driving for 3 1/2 hours, but are we back in Utah already?

-we drove by a quarry and the sign said, "GALLATIN QUARRY. WE ROCK!" (hah, hah)

-while we were at Adam-Ondi-Ahman, we only saw one other car. The car had three people in it, and they walked to the valley the same time we did. We started small talk, and found out that one of the men in the car is in the same ward as Christian's stepmom. Talk about a small world!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I want to go with our family back there. I have seen a lot of it, but Scott has not

The tractor thing, yeah, totally Missouri! I wish so much we could have joined you, but we hope to go visit all those sights over the summer break!

Keira loved the picture of the boys sleeping. She kept saying "baby!" (no Keira, they are both older than you) so she switched to "Ni-night!" over and over again. She is obsessed with people sleeping. So funny. Anyway, looks like you had another great trip.

What great parents! It's great being able to "check in" with you guys once in a while. We were at Sky View for my niece's music recital this past weekend...it's the first time I've been back since graduation! Oh the memories. Take care guys.
