In the Car

During the drive, some exciting things happened:

Our car turned over the 100,000 mile mark near Hillrose, Colorado.
No, Christian isn't actually driving 85 miles per hour. Our car registers 5 mph faster than we are actually going, so he is going 80. When you are driving 1100 miles, every little bit helps (the speed limit was 75). We bought our little Honda Civic when it had 21 miles on it. So it's 8 years old and just turning over 100,000. What a good little car. Emphasis on little.

When we hit the Colorado Rockies, Christian and I both whooped and hollered.
We really missed the mountains. We (okay, I) didn't realize how much I had missed them until I saw them right in front of me.

We played a game the entire trip, marking off all 50 states and Canadian provinces in a book Ethan had, trying to get all of them. We got 6 Canadian provinces, and 43 of the 50 states. Any readers in these states, where were you???: Delaware, Hawaii, Louisiana, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, West Virginia.
And, here are a few cute pics of the boys.

Pretty brave of you to take the picture of the odometer while Christian was driving! I thought you pulled over and took the pic. Cute pictures of the boys, and what fun chairs!

I heart Honda Civics. I've owned 4 of them. I'm still a little sad when I realized I don't have one anymore. I keep thinking - maybe we'll just have 2 kids, and I can go back to my civic once they're done with strollers and diaper bags. A girl can dream.
Cute pics, and BIG congrats to Christian (and you)!
