Random Ramblings

Thanks everyone for your concern. It did feel like a couple of crappy days, and the last two posts certainly were filled with frustration and negativity, but I'm so over it now. With an awesome new computer and the promise of a like-new car, I'm doing well. I'll kvetch with my therapist a little this afternoon -- that's what he's there for -- but then I'll be back to my normal self.

We're still doing swimming lessons, for another week and a half. The boys are a little scared of putting their entire heads under the water, but they are having a lot of fun still. Yesterday we went over to a friend's house to play in the swimming pool and practice what they have learned.

Today's the day I call and get all of our utilities started in our new house. It's also the day I go visiting teaching. We're also supposed to have thunderstorms today, possibly severe ones, all day long. Isn't that a spring-time sort of thing? Isn't it the end of June? I guess it is supposed to be 90 degrees today, with 100% humidity. That is more of a summer-time sort of thing...things work differently in Iowa than they do in Utah.

I have to compliment your use of the word "kvetch". I didn't know any Utahns knew that one. Nice Yiddish, I'm proud.

Man, when it rains, it pours huh! Just when you think nothing else could happen, something does. I'm sorry about your car and computer--hopefully things will all be recovered from your hard drive. I agree with backing up--I would cry and cry if my pictures were lost--I don't think our cd burning drive works on this "new" computer we got after ours was messed up, so I need to find a way to back up these pictures soon!
