Cedar Breaks

As promised, here are pictures of our Cedar Breaks visit. The pictures don't really do it justice; it is even more amazing in person. Check out all of the different colors...where are the geologists out there? What kinds of rock are they? (P.S. This is about 30 minutes from our house. Lucky us!)

That is beautiful:). Pictures never do things justice, do they! I did check out that cooking blog yesterday--I love it! I'm excited to look up recipes--they remind me a bit of the Pioneer Woman Cooks with their humor and good writing:).

Hmmm, I think there might be some sandstone, something with sulfur in it (yellow and smelly) and some other good stuff. Lime, maybe? I don't know, these are my best geological guesses.

I cannot believe all the things I MISSED out on while living "down south" (ha ha) We never even went to Cedar Breaks. Can you believe it?! I can't either. SHAME ON ME
