Mozilla Firefox

*UPDATE* I found out, thanks to Pioneer Woman, why my blog had problems last night. Too bad. I'm still going to use Firefox.

Today I was having problems accessing my own blog. Every time I tried to get to it, it would say Internet Explorer couldn't download this webpage, and "Operation Aborted." Then I noticed I was having a hard time trying to view another blog. Totally frustrating! So I asked Christian if he could figure out what was going on, and after lots of searching, he found out that apparently Internet Explorer frequently has this kind of problem. I'm not really sure what the problem is actually; I just know it was ticking me off. So he did a little more research, downloaded Mozilla Firefox, and transferred all of my bookmarks to it. Then he asked me to sit down and try it out. I could access my blog and the one I wasn't able to access on Internet Explorer, and the pages loaded faster than they did with IE. I've only been using Firefox for about 30 minutes now, but I think I'm a convert. Does anyone out there have stories about IE vs. Firefox? Pros and cons of Firefox? I literally don't know anything about it, other than I can view the blogs I couldn't before and it is downloading faster. Does anyone have words of wisdom for me? Is my computer going to explode because I am not using IE? Isn't it funny how we all get into our grooves and think that that way is the only way? Are you sick of my questions? And question marks?

We use firefox. I don't know why, Jake thinks it's better so we switched a couple years ago.

Jared is the computer pro around here and we've been using Firefox for a long time now. I have no idea why, but he likes it much more than IE.

Same for us. I think it is a computer geek secret. Rick refuses to use IE. We have been using Firefox for all of our married life. The only con I can think of is that a couple websites aren't always compatible. But Rick tells me they must be crappy and not well done because all websites should be able to work on all internet browsers. So they aren't worth my time. lol.

ok, so no idea about firefox, but did see your new ethan and aidanisms and laughed! Ohh, condoms. I would have said the same thing! And fake flowers always smell good to kids (at least to mine!)

We also use firefox and like it a lot--there are only a couple things that require the use of IE so far, so we have that downloaded in case, but we use firefox primarily:).

James switched us to Firefox years ago and we have never gone back. James says, "There's a cool add-on for Firefox that creates an IE tab in Firefox." So if a page loads better with IE you can use that even though you're still using Firefox. Did I just blow your mind? Or are you like me and need it explained for 2 minutes before you can grasp it?

Justin being the computer guru he is has had us on Firefox for a long time. It is the only one we use and even when we bought our Mac we put that on our Mac and it works much better than Safari.
