My Blog Looks Smokin' Hot

Do you like the new look of my digs?

Wow, that sentence was way more trendy/slangish than I usually am.

Anyway, Jill at Freshly Squeezed Designs did it, and I'm in love. It's amazing how I can leave my living room furniture in the same place for years, but after a few months of a blog design I'm itching for a change. Click here to see what other cute stuff she does.

Oh, and thanks for your suggestions on what you would do if you gave a mom a moment. At this point, unfortunately, what I/we were hoping we could get to work didn't end up working out for my header. I still love it though.

As for last week's For Just One Week - I didn't write in my journal every day, but I did write three epistles that caught my journal up on what is and has been going on in my life. So that's good!

I have written before about my stack of recipes that just keeps getting taller and taller, and I just keep on not making 'em and not making 'em. Every time I go through the pile, I think, "That looks so good. Ooh, I definitely want to make THIS one." I'm not sure what makes the pile seem so daunting, when every recipe looks so delicious. So this week, my goal is to make three recipes out of that pile that I have never made before. For some crazy reason, I'm scared about this goal!

I like the new look. I haven't read your blog in a while, so congrats on having a girl! I kinda thought that's what it would be :)

I love it! It's just so pretty.

I'm starting to grow weary of my design too. A change may be just what I need.

I love the new look, it's so pretty!
and don't be scared of the new recipes. New recipes are good. and yummy.
My usual problem is underestimating how much time it's going to take to make a meal. Like tonight. But so worth it.

it really did turn out nice, if i do say so myself! and i'm stubbornly determined to find a way to get that header to rotate -curse you, stupid html code.

glad you love it though :)

Love the new look too!

I use to be a recipe collector (oh my, I had a library of recipe books and stacks of pulled out recipes from magazines, etc), then I decided that I could look up almost any recipe that I might like on Food Network or Allrecipes, etc, so I threw or gave away A LOT of them. I keep my favorites, family recipes and those I use all the time in a Target 98 cent clearance plastic photo album.

Good luck with your recipes this week!

Ooh.....that's nice.

I think Melanie J had some kind of rotating header? Or knew someone that did?

I do like your blog---even without the sea horses:) It's very fun to look at---not overwhelming or crazy, just pleasant and pretty.

I miss the seahorses! I'm a dork like that. But I DO like the new look.

I really like it! The colors are great. What were you trying to do that didn't work? Not that I know, but just wondering now because I'm curious, I suppose.

Great new look! I am looking around now getting ready for a major overhaul too.

First of all, your blog IS smokin' hot. I really love it.

And I feel your pain on the recipe situation. I have an entire 2" 3-ring binder full of recipes I've torn out of magazines that I want to make and never have.

One of my goals this year is to cook my way through all of them to decide which ones I love, and then type them all up in a custom-designed cookbook for myself. Yikes. You're inspiring me to set a weekly recipe goal. Hm.....

I LOVE the new look. I loved the old one too, but, like you, I like to shake things up from time to time.

Looks fab Erin!

I'm too fickle, so I leave mine white all the time.

I still think it's funny that I emailed you about the blogger conf. Like that would work for us! hehe.

Love the digs! I like how the page is just simply surrounded by a dotted line. Reminds me of a coupon that you clip out. I do miss the sea-horses, but you need a change every now and then.

Have a great day!

I made a goal a while back to add three new recipes to my menu for a two week period. We have had some winners and some losers but over all we have enjoyed this little experiment. I also started a binder for the recipes I want to try, that worked really well for organizing them too.

I love the new look, Erin!

I'm on the hunt for a new look...as much as I love my ducks and cow, I think they need a makeover.

I did three new recipes this week out of self-defense. As I get more pregnant, I feel less and less motivated to cook so I had to abandon my usual meals and look for things that were quick but still tasty so there would be a shot of me actually making them. Rachel Ray cookbook to the rescue...I did a rigatoni bolognese that wasn't half bad. Have fun!
