Aidan has three items he takes with him everywhere: his blankie, his pillow pet bee named Buzzy, and his stuffed dog named Doggie. As soon as he wakes up in the morning, all three come out of his bed with him and end up on the couch, to be played with all day long. We play many make believe games at our house involving Buzzy giving us kisses and head bonks, putting Doggie in a cardboard box and opening it up and pretending we have a new pet dog, and lots of snuggling with the blankie.
A few nights ago, just before dinner, Aidan walked up to me and Christian in the kitchen, and with a very somber face asked, "Have you seen Doggie? He has four white legs..." Christian and I both burst out laughing as he was describing to us what Doggie looks like. Sure enough, we helped him find Doggie and all was right in the world again.

These are the moments that make the hard part of parenting worth it. I love what my kids come up with, they make me smile daily.

We have a chipmunk named Chippy.
He is simply adorable.
Oh, how darling. I love it.
I have a stuffed rabbit that I named Bunny. I also have a lamb that I called Lamb Chops after the puppet.
Love how he describes how it has four legs— too precious.
Too cute!
Something about stuffed animals really brings out the latent cuteness in kids!

So precious! I love that he described the dog to you!
At least he didn't start hanging "have you seen this Doggie?" posters!
That's too cute. Maybe you should write that one down in his book. His future wife would like that, lol.
That's so sweet. His poor little heart concerned for his lost pet and trying to get help. Cute boy!
