Mini Crib

(I had this post ready to post for today, but it was pre-empted by the birth of Kaitlynn! I still wanted to post it, because I love this little crib.)

When my dad was a baby, my grandma bought a mini-crib for him. Years later, when I was a teenager, my grandma gave it to me to use. I kept my porcelain doll in it for a long time, and I have moved it wherever we went (or kept it in storage when we were in Iowa).

As I was unpacking baby stuff a couple of weeks ago that has been in storage for over four years, I found a grocery sack with some unfamiliar items in it - two mini-crib sheets and a mini crib bumper. Then I remembered that I had lent the crib to a friend who was having a baby girl years ago, and she made the sheets and bumper for the crib. When she was finished with it she gave these items to me. I washed them and Christian and I set up the crib in our bedroom last week. It's beautiful, and just perfect for the first couple of months of our baby's life!

I love the little rooster detail on this end!Aidan/Bumblebee and his pet Doggy

That is such a cute little crib. How sweet of g-ma to pass it down (and fun that Kaitlynn was born on her b-day) I just might be a little jealous!

How cute is that? My little guy slept in a midsize suitcase..with its lid removed for the first few months. This is much classier! :)
