I Don't Know What to Title This Blog Post

We worked on our taxes for 2 1/2 hours last night. We are probably 3/4 of the way through. It's such a time-consuming process! But Christian joked that we spent more time talking about whether to take our taxes somewhere or do them ourselves than it actually took to do them. (It's true - sometimes I can be SO indecisive.) Also, we love TurboTax. We have used other online software, and TurboTax is WAY more user friendly. I was hardly frustrated at all last night.

Ahhh, Lucky Charms. How much we love thee at our house. You are a special treat we don't receive very often. But - no matter how much I shake the box upside down before opening it, your marshmallow-to-boring-old-oat-pieces ratio at the top of the box is practically one to one, and then at the bottom of the box there is only an occasional rogue marshmallow amongst millions of boring-old-oat-pieces. Harumph.
~~~~~~~~~~
This may not apply to anybody who reads my blog, but it does apply to us, and I wish we would have heard about it sooner. Did you know that if you are paying off student loans, and you work in a public service job (working at a state-funded university counts; even according to the rules I believe BYU would count too), your loans can possibly be forgiven after 10 years of payments? Click here to read about it.
We're having eggs benedict for dinner tonight. Eggs benedict makes me happy.
~~~~~~~~~~
I was trying to think of what to call these blog posts that I write, where I have numerous topics that I discuss, and I'm at a loss. I don't want to waste time trying to think of a title. Any thoughts? Anything campy, cheeky, ridiculous, or normal is welcomed. (Thoughts that have gone through my head - Verbal Vomit, Friday Catch Up, I Can't Put a Coherent Thought Together But Please Come Read This Anyway, etc, etc.)
~~~~~~~~~~
I should ask this on Facebook and Twitter, but I'll ask on my blog too: If I follow you on Facebook and Twitter, and you have a program where everything you write gets sent to both Facebook and Twitter, and I get tired of seeing your same update in both places every time, would you rather I delete you on Twitter or on Facebook? Or something different?
~~~~~~~~~~
That's all for now. Happy weekend, everyone!

P.S. Pam, yes I really do read all of my comments. I used to be better about responding to people. And then I had Kaitlyn, and life got more difficult (and more wonderful too). I just wanted to say thank you for your comment on my last post. (And thank you to everyone else who commented too. I love the connections I have made in blog world.)

We always use TurboTax. I need to just go buy the software, rather than pay the $65 every single year.

I used the word smorgasbord yesterday for my random post. Maybe it doesn't make sense, but it's fun to say:)

Yay for loan forgiveness!!!!!!

Several comments from me today.
1- We pay someone to do our taxes and I LOVE it! I collect the papers as they come in the mail, drop them off to our tax guy and pick it up a few weeks later. Sign, stamp, mail. Easy Peasy.
2- Aren't most student loans set up for 10 years? So anything you still owe at the 10-year mark would be really small, if at all.
3- Friday Fragments. That's what I use.

Have a great weekend!

We use Turbo Tax and have always loved it. Never a problem.

I've taken to giving my posts one word titles (on the rare occassions I actually post) because I've felt too lazy to think any harder then that.

Delete me from Twitter. I only use it to link blog to FB. Or, "hide" the twitter feed app from your newsfeed. (You would not believe how many red squigglies I have in this comment!)

I usually come up with different variations of the word "random" for my posts. I like smorgasbord, though, too.

Taxes are of the devil.
Thanks for the info on student debts.

I've sent that link to a friend whose husband is working at UVU - might be very helpful for them to know that. Thanks!

I think posting the same on Twitter and Facebook is a bit silly, but I'd say unfollow on Twitter. More happens on facebook (photos, etc...).

No title ideas, sorry!

We love TurboTax, too - but it only took about an hour, maybe a little more, this year. YEA! I have a feeling next year will be longer, what with having me work, Louie get unemployment, AND moving out of state. Still, we're still getting money back every year, and it makes me happy.

I would delete the Twitter. Mostly because I don't like it anyway.

I wish I was thinking in blogs more lately, but my brain hurts from researching, planning, getting excited, and WORRYING a lot lately. I assume this will settle down in another month or two.

OK, now I'm a comment rambler.

I've never had eggs Benedict. I should try it because I like eggs. And I like breakfast for dinner.

You know what, I'm looking up eggs Benedict (never had it) and considering it for dinner tonight. I was going to do breakfast for dinner anyway since Greg's out of town...

Awesome about the loans, and I've seen Friday Fragments...

I would like to thank you for introducing me to the beauty of eggs benedict. And poached eggs. And hollandaise sauce. My life will never be the same.

Ugh. We have to pay this year. Older kids. Brace yourselves.

Since we had the twins last year, we were super anxious for our W-2's to come! We just use whatever is free for the military...which is normally H&R Block.

I have breakfast for dinner a lot...mainly when the hubby won't be home for dinner. There's just something about cereal that makes you happy!

I also like giving the pile to the accountant, signing on the dotted line and letting them do everything. It's a little less stressful. When we used to just fill out EZ forms, we did our own, but when I owned a business, it was way too advanced for me!

I like Friday Fragments, or Random Reverie, or Misc Musings... oh don't get me started! I love words.

I was going to have breakfast for dinner tonight too! Planned on pancakes, but Eggs Benedict sound kinda good too.

Erin,
I think it's wonderful that you read every comment. My kids are all in their 20's (3 boys), but when they were young, I felt like I barely had time to think...so kudos to you! I think you're amazing.
We use Turbo Tax...Love it.
Now that our kids are gone, we have a lot of cereal for dinner. It's great. Cause I enjoy it.

As far as I can tell, BYU doesn't count as a public service organization. Shucks. :)

Dean used to do our taxes in January, then last year it was February; I guess this year it will be March. As long as he's willing to do it and finishes before April 15 I don't care when he does.

I looooooooove those Lucky Charms too! I can't buy them due to a picky 4 year old who eats the marshmallows and leaves the rest of the cereal to mold. Grr!

Lucky Charms were the biggest treat in our house growing up...gotta love them!

Thanks for checking back with me. I followed the instructions to look up an organizations nonprofit code at a different site and BYU didn't have a code so I think it doesn't qualify. There was something about how it couldn't be a religious organization, so that might exclude it from this program. I'll have to have Dean look at it and see if he interprets it differently.
