Here is Ethan's collection. I tried to convince him to throw the rocks away, and he got very upset with me. He said, "MOM, I have collected those rocks for skipping in water!" So we have to go to the lake (sooner than later, I hope) to skip the rocks! Also amongst the collection: a sticker, plastic "jewels", an old bobber he found on the lake, fake money, his CTR ring, a treasure box, his piggy bank, a tiny plastic train, and a piece of paper that when he was making a snowflake it looked like a bird so he had to keep it. I'm sure I NEVER had a collection like this when I was little, right, Mom?

How funny is that. I think all kids are the same. Alyssa has about 30 rocks that sit outside our door up on the little cement ledge and she won't get rid of them. She has other junk piles as well. How fun for us moms!!
No Erin, you never had any funny "collections" like Ethan has AND you never had to line up your shoes in a little row, and never came into my room at midnight crying because the wind was blowing and you had left "stuff" outside. Mom
LOL! I read a story today with Kaitlyn about how every kid needs a pet rock. It is a tricky job to pick out the right rock. I never knew there was so much to it. Ethan is very fortunate to have such cool things! and so many pet rocks too!
that is great!! I love it. my older brother still has all his junk:)
K, so am I a bad mom or what! Today I spent most of my day going through stuff in the house, including the kids toys, stuffed animals, and whatnot to get stuff ready to give to the GoodWill...I just couldn't take the junk piles anymore! Hopefully Kaci won't notice...have a fun weekend!
I also have children (namely Carson) who hoards stuff. When he's not looking I try and get rid of as much as I can if he's left it untouched for a good week. I can generally guarantee it won't be missed then. What a collection though!
The collection is precious! Ashton really enjoyed seeing the picture and hearing what was important to Ethan. I think he could really relate to the same special possessions.
