A Pirate Party

Continuing on with our pirate obsession around here, Target had a fantastic clearance on toys sale last week and we got some really cool pirate stuff (thanks Staci). Last night we had a pirate party of sorts. We put together and painted pirate ships for each boy, and then they wore their new over the shoulder belt thing that has a sword and dagger and says cool pirate stuff when you take either one out of its holster. The boys are obsessed. And so far we have only had to threaten to put the swords in time out a few times.

We are going two years strong into his pirate obsession with no end in site. lol We currently have four pirate ships (and a play one in the garage to climb on) roaming around our house. lol

He turns five on the end of Jan, and I was going to do another pirate party this year, but changed our minds and booked a flight for the two of us to go to UT to see his cousins ans play in the snow. Sooo, instead of a party, we are taking him and a friend to the new Veggie Tales pirate flick--complete with pirate costume and everything. We can't wait! ;)
