One Potato, Two Potato

Way back in the olden days, when my sister and I were little, we used to use Eeny Meeny Miny Mo to choose who got to go first, who was "it," and other such items that would cause one of us to cry out, "Not Fair!!!" or "She was first LAST time!" These days, my boys use the phrase, "One potato, two potato, three potato, four; five potato, six potato, seven potato, more." (coined as of late by Max & Ruby; I don't know the original source.) Ethan has figured out if there are two, three, or four of us where to start in the circle so that he will be "more" every time. Luckily, Aidan hasn't figured out yet that Ethan does that, and he doesn't mind (yet) that he doesn't tend to get chosen first. By the way, it's adorable the way Aidan says, "seven taaaaatoooo, mow!" (He hasn't mastered the "r" sound yet.) In this video, Ethan is doing it twice in a row because I had already given Aidan two turns and he wanted to be equal. Watch all the way to the end for a good laugh...Mom and Dad, does this remind you of me and Brooke?

Something else Aidan does that is so cute: when I say, "Gimme five!" he says, "Gimme one!" and holds out one finger. I then have to give him one, two, three...one finger at a time all the way to "Gimme ten!" Sometimes he randomly walks up to me, holds up his index finger, and says, "Gimme one!" We do this several times a day.
We made Amish Friendship Bread yesterday. The boys helped me.Then, while I was cleaning up, I realized Aidan was being a little too quiet. This is what he was doing with the newly filled canister of flour:Does anyone want a starter for the bread? I have four of them.

I want a starter! I was going to make my own because I found a starter recipe, but I'd rather be lazy and use one that someone else made! Ha, Ha! Anyway, my Sierra does the same thing as Ethan, and Landen is starting to catch on that Sierra is more giving to herself! Give it 6 months and Aidan will be going "HEY! Not fair". I do remember doing this and I think you are like our oldest children! Always giving yourself more turns! HA, HA!!!! Just kidding! Have a good day!
