So, they accepted our offer! And we got it for WAY less than the original asking price. We are so excited, and a little scared...we've never owned anything before, and never had such a big monthly payment. But it's beautiful! When I get home, I'll put up pictures. I think I said before it is 4 bedrooms, so we even have extra space. What will I do with space??
Also, about 30 minutes ago, Christian found out that he has fully passed off his dissertation! The college dean finally passed it off/signed it, and today he was able to submit it electronically and get it to the library for publication. And now he can officially graduate with his Ph.D., which will happen August 15!
And, very important: I finally got to eat at Café Rio for dinner tonight!
I'm full of exclamation points today, but it is definitely a worthy day for exclamation points!!!

- I'm taller than my husband when I wear shoes and he is barefoot (and he is 6'1"). I can say the alphabet backwards in 5 seconds. I LOVE cereal - I would eat it for every meal if my family didn't object. I am a francophile (j'adore la langue française). I play the piano, and I love to teach; at one insane point I had 42 students. If I could do whatever I wanted 24 hours a day, I would read and blog. I love my family, and I don't think I show them often enough. I watch entirely too much tv. I eat chocolate every day.

P.S. I also ate at Cafe Rio the other day (for the 1st time in years) and it was even better than I remember! I don't know how other places can mess up a black bean and rice burrito, but Rio's is SO much better. (I know, boring kind of burrito, but it's my very favorite.)

How exciting!! Congratulations. Don't worry about the plant shelves, mine are empty and I've been in our house for two and half years. (I actually have no intentions of ever putting anything up there except for my invisible plants.)
