"Do you want to buy something?"

We had our land-line phone number for exactly 72 hours when we got our first telemarketer phone call: from Viking Magazines. "We have hundreds of magazines available at incredible prices Ms. W." 72 hours?!? He knew my name?!? The only people who I have given my phone number to are the people on my e-mail list. Did one of you rat me out to them? Oh yeah, and Qwest, of course, has our phone number.

Shame on you Qwest.

I'm on my way now over to the do-not-call website to add my brand new number. Pathetic.

For the nearly two years that we had our old land-line number we got about one call a day for Miguel Hernandez. Sometimes as many as four a day. And most of the people didn't speak English. We've had nothing but cell phones for nearly 2 years and we love it.
