I don't think I've mentioned the rock wall. I don't think I've mentioned that our back yard is approximately the size of a pea. Oh well...it's ours (and that's more than we've had for almost 11 years). So, we have a rock wall in our back yard. A giant rock wall. I was a little bit hesitant about the rock wall at first. In fact, when we were searching for houses online, we had this one on our list originally, but I had Christian take it off of the list because of the rock wall. Then, after more thought and more research, we put the house back on our list in spite of the rock wall. And funny enough, it was the one we ended up purchasing. What I didn't bank on, however, was how much fun the rock wall would create for two imaginative boys.
Here is the rock wall. As you can see, we have a giant rock that is even taller than Christian. Notice the two tiny boys in comparison.

They have had so much fun poking in the crevices created by the giant rocks. They use plastic golf clubs and plastic swords, mostly. I'm not really sure what they are doing...searching for gold? (Keep looking until you find some, boys!)

They also ask, every day, if they can climb the rock wall. Here's Christian, climbing up right along with Ethan. (And Aidan, searching for gold again.)

We also have families of squirrels that live in the rock wall. They have become our "pets." Every time we look out our windows we see squirrels running across the rocks. It's our favorite pastime these days.
If you notice, all three of the pictures were taken on different days (because they are wearing different clothing). If you try to call and can't reach us, it's probably because we are out back playing on the rock wall.

holy cow...that really is a rock wall. What a fun place to play for those guys.
PS...If you find gold I'll be sending my boys over to dig!!
what a fun play to play and explore. Perfect backyard for a family of boys. I now want to climb the rock wall.
I really didn't understand quite what you meant when you told me about the rock wall. Holy Cow! My kids would LOVE that! I bet you are now grateful you have that rock wall for the boys to entertain themselves with for hours!
Wow, that is a huge rock! It looks great!
I want to come play on the rock wall. I think you should buy a tramp to put right next to it. Then you can climb the wall and jump onto the tramp. Or even better, a swimming pool to go clif jumping. I love the wall!
Ya, I am glad I will be surprised by the ending still. I have heard different opinions from people on some really liked it, and some where dissappointed, so I am curious to see what I will think.
Ditto what Megan and Jon said. I was picturing a normal rock wally thing, but man...It even dwarfs Christian!
