Passing on the Blog Love

Wow, I had no idea my blog would become so popular when I started doling out free publicity!

Just kidding.

Actually, I was really excited to see you respond, and give me some comment love. You see, every time someone comments, I feel a little warm and snuggly inside. A comment is a little like a virtual hug, and I savor each and every one.

Okay, let's get started. I will give you linky love in the order your comment was received.

Brooke - She's like, the coolest sister ever. Okay, I just clicked over here after reading Seriously, So Blessed so I have to stop that NOW. Anyway, she really is the coolest sister ever. We talk on the phone way more often than we probably should, but we're not going to stop. I've taught her everything I know about blogging, which might fill up a thimble. She lives in Windtown/Sagebrushville, USA, which is too far away from me. Sell your house and move closer to me Brooke!

Kayla - Unfortunately for all of you, her blog is private. Only cool people like me get to see it. Okay, I've really got to stop reading SSB. Sorry. Anyway, we were in the Primary presidency together, and our meetings would always be around 20% primary business and 80% gabfests. So fun! And her daughter Shelby is so cute and such a happy baby.

Adrienne - How can I not help but be a little jealous of someone who looks so good with short hair? I really want to have short hair, but the ugly cowlick on the nape of my neck makes short hair virtually impossible! I'm also a little jealous because her awesome food blog, Taste the Joy, displays not only good food, but also her amazing talent in using Photoshop and making her blog look really cute. I wish we lived closer so you could give me lessons, Adrie...oh yeah, she's also my cousin and we always called her Adrie growing up, but I have a feeling she may have outgrown that name. Right, Adrie? :)

Lara - Lara is the first person who I have never met to continue commenting on my blog. Did that make sense? And the funny thing is, we live in the same small town. We'll have to get together for lunch sometime, or maybe a kids' playdate Lara. I love reading her Overstuffed blog; she also has a photography blog. And may I say that she takes amazing pictures? Everytime I click over to her blog, I am interested in the things she writes, and I am very impressed with the pictures she includes. I wish I could take a good picture. I think I have said that before...

Brittany - Private blog too. Too bad because her kids are adorable. Brittany is also my cousin, and we grew up next door to each other. She knows way too many things about me that would make me uncomfortable for other people to know. And yet, she still likes me. She is smart and beautiful (red hair), and her husband is a little like mine (they have lots of toys - outdoor toys).

Leslie - We have know each other for five years, when we lived on Anne Circle together. I love Leslie! And I am completely jealous of her writing abilities. If I wrote like she did, I would be the next Pioneer Woman by now. Here is a great post about her moving skills. I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants. Go check out her blog. And her husband is the funniest guy ever, but I don't even think he means to be! That is what makes him so great.

Christine - She is one of the very first people to be nice to me when I moved here. You know when you move somewhere, and you feel a little like a fish out of water? She is in my ward, and she instigated a girls night out and invited me. We're fast friends already.

Kristina - She is the second person ever to continually comment on my blog even though I don't know her. She has already added me to her eBFF list, which makes me feel very special. She lives in the Salt Lake Valley, and if I didn't live so darn far away I might go to the Meet and Greet she is hosting in a couple of weeks at an Olive Garden up there. Click here to read her shoe post; I am so fashion-backward that I didn't know if she was making fun of the shoes or in love with them (I thought they were ugly, but I figured my taste might be kind of off or something.)

Megan - Her glasses are so cute! I wish I looked that stylin' in my glasses. She is in my mom's ward, in the YW presidency (still? I think) and I'm sure every YW wants to be her, or at least like her. And she knows how to do those really cute digital scrapbook pages that I would love to do, but I just don't have the energy to want to learn how to do. She has a garden. I want a garden! She is very well liked by everyone, including me!

Desta - Desta Desta Desta. There is so much I could say, that I don't know where to start. I guess jealous things first - she is so witty. She can pull witty things out of her head that I would never dream of. She can sew like no other. She stands up for herself when talking to numbskull long-distance phone people who won't fix her service and are trying to overcharge her. Plus, she loves music, the kinds of music you've never even heard of but wish you had so that you could be cool too. And she has a sweetheart of a daughter, and a very soon-to-be sweetheart of a son.

Tyra - She just started doing photography professionally and has a beautiful blog to prove it. She has three beautiful kids, and she is beautiful herself! (Really, I'm not kidding.) I love her laugh, and wish we lived closer to each other so I could hear it more often.

Tracey - I did not get as much time with Tracey as I would have liked! She is one of my Iowa friends, and we did girls' night outs (and girls' breakfast outs too) with a big group. She is a doula, which I am extremely impressed with. I almost wish I had a baby while I lived in Iowa so she could have helped me! Tracey, tell everyone that I miss them all! And I miss you too!

Sarah - She has three kids, an amazing husband, and probably 20 projects going on all at once. I seriously don't know how she does what she does. She's like the anti-me, in that I feel like I rarely, if ever, have everything put together. She is amazing. Sarah, you're amazing!

Laurie (AKA Loudaisy) - She's had a blog way longer than anyone I have ever known. She was blogging WAY before it was cool. We've been friends since our second year of marriage, and we spent many weekends at their family cabin with 2 other couples. Her laugh is absolutely addicting. Her relationship with her husband is so positive and happy, and you can see it in their eyes. And her kids - oh so cute!

Liz - also a private blog. We lived next door to each other on Anne Circle. And when I say next door, I mean if I reached out of my door, I could touch hers. Her smile is so pretty. I have never met either of your kids Liz. Will we ever see each other again?

Elisa - I love having so many girl cousins! Elisa is a few years younger than me (which is very lucky for her right now because she hasn't reached the big 3-0). But we always had fun together when we played/hung out. And now, she has a beautiful daughter and another one on the way!

Kate - When I was trying to think about what to write about her, I realized something that struck me as very funny: I have never met her. We have a mutual friend, and we have sent tons of e-mails back and forth. But more importantly, she is an excellent writer. She writes so well that I honestly feel like I know her and that I am her friend. Oh, and she has a little food blog called Our Best Bites that I visit at least 3 times a day. Seriously. I have written about it before here. I also wrote about it here and here, back when it was called The Daily Bite. You'd think she pays me or something.

Jessie R. - Another Anne Circle survivor. We used to get our kids together at the end of the cul-de-sac and let them play together for hours. And then we could sit and visit. We also did preschool together. I miss our talks!

Jessi J. - Christian's cousin, but I'm sure she likes me more. She is such a sweetheart, and I wish we lived closer (move back!!!) so we could hang out more! Her blog is also cute, and I wish I could learn some of that Photoshopping kind of stuff by osmosis.

Annie -A great friend from Ellen Circle - next door to Anne Circle, so she was a little less cool :). Just kidding. Her husband was our home teacher, and they were the nursery leaders when Ethan just started going to nursery. Annie always has a smile on her face. And she moved to Missouri when we moved to Iowa, so we both experienced CRAZY weather together for the first time!

Lynette - Another cousin! I'm sensing a theme here - most of my readers are related to me. That's how my numbers go up! Anyway, I have been blown away with Lynette this last month or two. She just had a baby, and within days she was posting on her blog adorable pictures of her two girls. How did she do it? And with as little sleep as you get being a new mom again? Good job Lynette!

Karla - Our husbands are best friends. They swear that we are the same person because we have similar backgrounds and our personality quirks are so similar. I take that as a compliment! But she has way cuter hair than I do. And she is an amazing landscape architect. Okay, so we're not the same person. But I want to emulate her. Here is her list of quirks. I do numbers 1,2,3 and 5. Oh, by the way Karla, you tagged me on this one, and I'm finally getting around to it tomorrow.

And I am going to cheat a little: I'm sure Christie would have commented, if she hadn't been so darn busy having a baby! We met when she moved in below me on Anne Circle, and I did her dishes for her when her first baby was four days old. Because of that small service I provided, we became really close friends! So that's the clue to making friends - help someone in need. Also, if you need some virtual new baby smell, head over to her blog and breathe in deeply.

There you have it folks. Use the links to check out each other's blogs. My friends are your friends. And may you write something nice on your own blog about me one day...

I always love checking out new blogs, so this was a great idea.

We will definitely have to get together sometime soon...so silly not to, when I have gone all the way to San Francisco to meet a blogging friend before. :) I mean, we were going anyway, but I made sure to meet her while there!

thanks for the all the sweet things you wrote! This was a fun idea!

PS...All the cousins and family still call me Adrie and I love it. The rest of the world calls me Adrienne but I like it when people know me well enough to call me Adrie...it takes me to a simpler time.

Can I be added to your blogroll as an online friend?
