- eaten two hamburgers for dinner
- eaten a dozen cake balls before putting chocolate on them
- invited a friend over to hang out without telling her it was my birthday (not wanting it to be a big deal, but she may or may not have brought over a gift anyway)
- taken an extra long shower, forgetting that my husband would then have to take a cold shower
- let my kids watch WAY too much tv while I received birthday wishes by phone
- pranced around in a coat and scarf, smelling like yummy lotion, while eating chocolate haystacks and holding money
These cake balls reminded my husband of a Saturday Night Live skit. I love this skit, and it is slightly irreverent (just a warning). Click here for a laugh.

Well, so glad your birthday was good! The cake balls look . . . interesting. But, who cares? It's CHOCOLATE!!!
1. I don't even need to look at the link to know that sketch is about some Schweaty Balls.
2. World famous? Really?
3. I hope you had a super fantastic birthday!
4. I would eat those balls anytime.
5. That's what she said.
It sounds like the things you may or may not have done, may or may not have made for a great day. I hope that you did have a great one.
Oh well about all the food eating. There is always a treadmill. Like that is a fun thing :)
I love the look of your balls. And the image of you prancing around, smelling fab and eating chocolate. Now THAT'S celebrating!
It sounds like a fun time on your birthday!
Since I was at work when I was checking blogs yesterday, I didn't get a chance to wish you a happy birthday....so HAPPY BIRTHDAY....a little late. Hope it was a great one! Sounds like you had a fun day.
Yay! Fun birthday! I'm so glad it was great! You are great!
Sounds like fun. I think the cake balls sound so yummy.
I'm happy you had a wonderful day! That's what birthdays are for...to spoil ourselves by eating lots of chocolate and hamburgers and to let others spoil us too! It looks like the kids helped a lot with the cake balls...what a great mom you are. :)
I'm so glad you had a great birthday! Those actually look great--I might have to try them sometime!
Great now I want a cake ball and I dont even know what they are
daaaaaaaaaaaam-it! i was going to comment about Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls...but thought perhaps it might be crossing the line...if I would only have known.
I'm glad you had a great birthday. Any birthday with chocolate and money and balls? Is a GOOD birthday.
I don't think I've ever had these cake balls I keep seeing all over the place.
But, I do have a killer recipe for Oreo truffles, that are super easy.
sounds like a perfect way to spend your birthday!
Sounds like an excellent day!
And I'm gonna have to try out those cake balls. They're healthy, right?
These look awesome...no, not ugly...awesome! Glad you had a great birthday and it was relaxing and fun!
I love cake balls! And I am sad that I missed posting on your birthday! I hope you had a great one!
As for the SNL skit, I don't even have to look! And I will say that my husband laughs WAY too hard at that skit!
have seen you around a few blogs and decided to come and say hello! and happy birthday
Is it the Alec Baldwin skit? I bet it is and I didn't even click the link, that's how TV I am.
can I just duplicate Stacy's comment? Happy belated birthday :)
Mmm, those cake balls look yummy! How exactly did you make them?
I hope you had a great birthday!
The skit was cute but I think I would rather see you dancing around with money in your hand eating haystacks. Was anyone on hand with a digital recorder by any chance?
Cake Balls? How on earth do I make these? They look YUM-A-LICIOUS!!
Sounds like a good day. :)
You paint a lovely Erin-on-her-birthday picture. Happy Belated!!
And thank you so much for your kindness in making those cake balls ugly to help our self esteem! You're great.
Shoot, I'll have to check that recipe again and remind myself why I haven't made them yet (I thought there was some ingredient unavailable in Poland, but I'm not sure. . .)

I didn't click on the link, but I'm betting it's that Alec Baldwin skit, as Mr. Schwetty. Ha ha ha. That one's funny.
