Sob, Sniffle Sniffle

This will be my last post until I start the 12 Days of Christmas...I know you are all crying because you will miss me so much, but I know that somehow you will survive. Or maybe you'll be happy because you have one less blog to comment on for a couple of days. Whatever.

Anyway, the first day of Christmas starts this Saturday, Dec. 13. If you are thinking of participating, but still haven't decided for sure, leave me a comment to let me know, and I will link to your blog with a "maybe" next to your name. Hey, at least it's free advertising on my sidebar!

Also, after the 12 Days of Christmas is over, I will be taking a blogcation until the first of the year. I know, I know, how will you live without your Erin fix?

Miss me! I'll see you Saturday...

*Edited to add: both of my kids AND my husband have been sick and throwing up since Monday night. So - sorry for being MIA in blogland. It's been a long couple of days. Incidentally, do any of you have a designated "throw up bowl" at your house? We had to initiate a second one into our home this time around.

I am in total sympathy. At least they are throwing up into a bowl. Our throw-up always ends up in the carpet.

Yes we have a designated "throw up bowl". Sorry you had to use two!

I'm looking forward to your 12 days of Christmas.

We actually have two throw up bowls because this has happened to us before. YUCK.

We have a throw up bowl, but it's one we use for cleaning as well. (filling with soapy water) Growing up our throw up bowl was the same huge one we ate popcorn out of. I think I just found the reason I've never been a popcorn fan. . .

Hope everyone gets feeling better soon!

I will TOTALLY miss you!! I LOVE your FABULOUS blog--by the way--I finally accepted your award. Sorry that it took so long!!

We have a throw-up bucket. Good times!!

You will be missed...as we were just barely getting to know one another. Its okay..I will survive!

I simpathize with you, I had a puker recently at my house. We have a "puke bucket". (It once upon time was a bucket used to wash the cars, but it has a nifty little handle and the kids have adopted it nicely)

I already miss you. Hope your fam feels better soon! Have a great Christmas!!!

I'll miss you. Enjoy your family Christmas time though. Yes, we have a "sick bucket." It's a gallon ice cream bucket. The handle is great for carrying. :)

Holy cow! Kids throwing up is bad enough but adult throw up is just wrong. Maybe he got it from Alyson at East Coast Living (I think, it's so long I can never quite remember it right) Anywho, you will be missed--don't get sick!

Whenever my son sees the big green bowl, he freaks out. He thinks it will CAUSE him to hurl.

I will miss reading your blog, but look forward to the 12 days of Christmas. I might try to play along, but I don't know if I'll be creative enough to think of something for each day...let alone, post every day! I hope your family gets better soon!

Here's the link to the salt dough recipe I used. Sorry, I should have posted that too.

Sorry the hubby and kiddies are sicky. I hate it when all that junk is going around. My hubby had a major migraine Saturday night into Sunday morning, and was throwing up all morning. He used my huge pot as the bucket. I usually use a large bowl, and then throw it in the dishwasher after. We do have a bucket in the garage, that I used to keep in the car for such purposes. Maybe I should bring it into the house. (sorry for the book here). Have a great week. I'm going to go read about your twelve days of Christmas now.

We love throw up bowls. I will never forget the night my middle son threw up on the ladder of his bunk bed while he was trying to get down. Why oh why couldn't he hhave just thrown up in the middle of his bed? It would habe been so much easier to clean up! It was the worst.

Oh yes....the throw up bowl. I hate when it needs to come out of hiding.

I'm finding it hard to find time to blog this week!

Throw up bowls are a necessity around our house, since my son throws up weekly.

Have fun with your twelve days of Christmas...I will definitely miss you. So sorry to hear your family has been sick, hope everybody gets better soon and that you guys have a wonderful Christmas. By the way..we use a plastic water pitcher for throw up instead of a bowl...it helps keep it from splashing up in your face as much.

We have a vomit bucket... Usually it is what ever I feel like I can do without... never keep them. YUCK! Always throw them out.

We do have a throw up bowl. But we just it for other things. (Don't judge me!) You know, it gets washed and then sterilized in the dishwasher, so, you know...

But the horriblest thing is that sometimes my kids will announce to company that "the popcorn is in the throw up bowl," or "let's just put that in the throw up bowl." I want to hide!

Lara Neves said...

So, I had a few great ideas for 12 Days of Christmas this morning, so count me in. :)

So we don't "just" the throw up bowl for other things, we "use" it. Do you ever have a whole word typo like that? My brain is thinking a sentence ahead of my fingers.

I wish we lived nearby, too. SO much of what you love and do and say strikes such a chord with me. We'll have to plan a visit someday.

Although I have never had a "throw up bowl" we do have a bucket that is handy. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and that your family feels better soon. I will miss your musings :)
