Do Any of You Ever Feel This Way?

(Of course, I'm sure my psychologist husband would be offended by the woman on the right because he would never answer his phone or text while seeing clients.)

cartoon found here dated 12/5

I find it ironic that I had this cartoon set to post this morning, and then I found out that I was awarded The Blog Stalker's Super Stalker award. (Yes, we all have lonely moments and yes, I feel better.) Thank you Blog Stalker!

This award is presented to a Super blogger. This person is not only a terrific person, but a great bloggy friend. More than just a Stalker, they are a loyal reader who cares. The comments that they leave in their wake are sincere and heart-felt -making it apparent that they are truly interested. That someone cares. To which we reward them by saying:

YOU ARE A SUPER STALKER!
This award belongs to YOU!

All we ask is the following:
1-In your own time, share this award with ONE other blogger who you feel is worthy of the Super Stalker title. This award is not to be handed out freely, but deliberately given from one Super Stalker to another -Making the recipient deserving. Keeping the award true to its form and the reason for its beginning.
2-As you award that one Super Blogger, include this message in its entirety along with your acceptance speech.
3-Enjoy your REWARD! You DESERVE IT! You EARNED IT!

It is true - I am interested and I do care. I blog to make friends. And I enjoy every minute of it! (Well, every minute except for those silly insecure high-schoolish moments when I wonder if anyone really likes me.)

As I tried to decide who I wanted to give this award to, I thought of my very favorite part of blogging. And that is when I comment on someone's blog, or they comment on mine, and we continue the conversation via e-mail. We e-mail back and forth, sharing thoughts and laughing, until we get to the point when we realize we should have just called each other because we were having so much fun! I have done this a few times with a few fun blog friends, so I am giving this award to the person who I had the most recent e-mail conversation with. Mina, this award goes to you!

You totally deserve this award! I see you everywhere, and I'm everywhere!

And I agree with the cartoon. My friend and I talk about that sometimes. That even though I am so connected online, sometimes, I feel lonely because I may not make as much time for the real people in my life, because it's so easy to email them or send a FB message, rather than just pick up the phone and talk.

Oh! Mina is another one of my favorites!!

And I love the cartoon!

You deserve this award. So does Mina! She's a sweetie. Good choice. The comic is funny. So true.

I didn't know that that feeling was such a phenomenon that it was cartoon worthy. I've really been trying to reach out to people I can actually physically touch (you know, if I wanted too and it weren't wierd) lately, and this makes me realize just how important that is.

I love when people email after comments, too! It's so awesome to communicate more personally like that with someone you've never met. Love it!

Congrats on the award. You really are everywhere and you always leave great comments!

That cartoon is hysterical! The fact that no therapist would actually do that is what makes it so extra funny. Love it! Love you!

Kind of new to blogging. I added myself to Blog Stalkers Unite, and saw your award, so I decided to pay a visit. I'm glad I did :) Congratulations on the award, and hope you have a great rest of the weekend.

Hey, congrats, Erin. You totally deserve this.

And, awww, shucks! *blushing* You are so sweet. I have totally enjoyed our email communications. It really does make me feel like we're real friends and not just virtual friends, if you know what I mean.

AND, perfect cartoon! I may steal it for my sidebar. It's kinda how I'm feeling lately. I wish I could get you all to attend my ward. Then we could do this AND have personal contact. Ah well ...

I saw that cartoon in the paper and thought it was too funny.

Congrats on your award! I need to perhaps be better at the email conversations, but it's too hard for me. It really takes a lot of time that I don't have. Sigh. But I still love making friends blogging!

I totally get the cartoon... and I am glad you are feeling better. I am surprised at the similarities we share -- my hubby is a therapist. Same field as your man... What will we find next?

Have fun this week with all the BSU stalkers!!!

deb@virginia blue said...

So, I just got myself all squared away over at BSU for the first time and decided to start checking some of the blogs out...

of course, I ended up here since you've won this fabulous award :)

I'm beginning to find it quite ironic AND amusing that probably 75% of the people I run across in BlogLand are LDS....

do you think it has something to do with all the lessons on the importance of keeping a journal we had in YW???

Your blog is fabulous...I'm totally loving it!

Blogging is the best, huh! And I don't think I've seen this new layout. Very cute!!

And I'm sorry its been so long since I've been here. I just realized I've been getting you confused with real mom real life. Sorry!! :)

Probably one of the only times that being a super stalker is a good thing.

Ha ha.

Comments are fun-I have a favorite blog where his comments are off and it drives me batty.

That is so funny! I think we can all relate. Good to know your husband is less "connected" during his sessions.

Ha HA! There are just WAY too many things on the web to waste time. And I do them all!
My hubby. I'm actually amazed he even has an email account. He's very old school.

It's fun getting comments from you. You deserve the award. Thank you for all your bread help. BTW I live in Salt Lake County... so my card is good at numerous librarys here. If one library doesn't have the book I wanted, then I can request from the Library site to have the book transfered and put on hold for me. Their website also has the best resources for helping you find other great books when you've run out of stuff to read. (That's one good thing about a big city... better/closer libraries. As much as I want to be in the country and have acres of land for gardening and others purposes, there are some advantages to being here.)
