Last week, I was telling you how I was overflowing with ideas, and I had too many things to post.
I ended up checking over the drafts, deleting the ones that were junk, and combining some of the short but good ones into the random ramblings.
Now that I've had a sick kid or two for days and days, and took a mini break (I did read your blogs while sick children were watching Wall-E or resting on the couch, but I didn't comment), I've got nothing.
Nothing!
Ahh, the ebbs and flows of blogging. A million ideas! Complete writers block! The desire to have a million readers! The desire to delete the blog completely!
I know, I know. Erin needs to stop thinking in extremes. (I wrote that last sentence especially for that google game where people type in their name plus the word "needs" afterward. You are welcome, whoever has the name Erin.) I will write when I have something to write about.
My kids are finally better, by the way. What a yucky virus. Thank you for your kind words and concern.

I completely understand. I generally try to write blog posts a week in advance, for this very reason. Sometimes it works. Sometimes, I got nothin'.
Ebb and flow. that's just how it goes. If I feel the stress of writing, it's just worse. I took a 4 day break, and I suddenly had tons of ideas again. Now, I'm starting to lose them, or at least not have the motivation to take the pictures or sit down and write them, LOL!
I'm glad everyone at your house is better. Now all five of us are sick with some croupy crap. I never did get back to you about lunch on the 16th or 17th. I'm already in St. George on Saturdays if you wanted to do it after about 1:30. Let me know. :)
That is the very reason why I took a 16 day break from blogging. Now I am refreshed and ready to go. Granted, my posts are not the best ever but they are mine and I am happy with them. Here's to hoping you get your mojo back soon!!
Glad to hear that the kids are feeling better!!
I think you need to go to Paris to get rid of your writer's block!
I asked google what I needed: Barbara needs to move her focus from herself to others and learn to love in order to receive love from other people. That's a lame game.
Glad the kids are better. Sorry I didn't see that they were sick earlier.
And frankly, m'dear, even if you just wrote BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH all the time, I'd still check you!
I understand. Usually on my drive to work I think of some great things and then by the time I sit in front of the computer...blank.
At least your blog looks great;)
Glad to hear the kids are better
hey, when it comes it will come, I have a ton of stuff still in my draft folder, want some of it? LOL
Oi, I'm in exactly the same place! Was bursting with ideas and they all kind of fizzled away when I wasn't looking.
Hmph.
Mojo ebbs and flows though, yes.
We all have our ups and downs. I know I have had my fair share of them!! You will get your mojo back!
Im going through that right now! Total writers block! And then there are times when I have tons of things to post.
Im sure you'll get your mojo back soon enough. :)
I'm an ebber and a flower too. Some days I think I'll never have anything to write ever again. Other times, I can't shut up. I always love what you have to say, by the way.
It's amazing how even when you don't have anything to write about I am still interested! and don't you dare delete your blog! You'll be unstuck soon!
thanks for the comments. I have been out a while, but I am getting back. Love the post.
You could never lose your mojo. It is impossible :)
You'll get it back. I find that being really tired and over-doing it makes it very hard. Today's post for example--not good. (Um, by that, I meant MY post--sooo glad I always reread my comments before I post them!) I do always have something to write about, though, b/c I find myself emminently devastatingly fascinating and feel that all others feel the same. I just don't alway write about moi as interestingly as I do other days.
Funny, because yesterday I was thinking to myself, "Well, I got nothing. I'm done."
I think of great ideas to write about, but if I don't write them down right away, I forget.
Oh, I was going to play the Diane needs game, but the first one said,"Diane needs a blankity-blank shower." So I decided not to play. My blog is a family blog.
I have a file on my phone that I type in quick ideas that come to mind b/c I go through some serious lulls! Glad the kids are feeling better!
Glad the kids are better, that makes for blogging happiness. I think bloggin is so tempermental, some days you just feel it some days you just don't. I think mostly people just do thier best work then they do not overthink and just say whatever is one their mind.
That's why I post when I do. No rhyme or reason, just when I think of something.
Most of the time I have nothing. I hope the kids are feeling better.
Glad everyone's better. Sorry you're all stopped up. It'll improve. And hey, you even make a good post out of writer's block. So there.
Writer's block happens.
Some times the best posts are the least poetic.
Glad your kiddos are feeling better.
I so know what you mean! I've had post that I know are down right funny. But lately, I can't seem to get it out the way I want it.
I think the bucket fillers are taking up all of my creative energy.
Maybe it's because it's freakin' January.
BTW, we were leaving here on Friday til after 5, so I probably won't be in Cedar til like 8 or so.
I'm planning on lunch with all my running girls on Saturday in St. George if you are interested in joining us. If you are, let me know, and I'll let you know when and where.
maybe you could email me your phone# and I'll call you, since I won't have a computer.
The Bloggy Doldrums...may the winds of creativity blow their gentle inspiration into your writing sails and lead you to new islands of thought...
Well, you know...just trying to be helpful...
Blessings!
As a person who shares your name I thank you for the Erin Needs Google search... I hate having Writer's Block... it's been plaguing me for a while.
Yeah for well kids! And will be patiently waiting for your mojo to come back.
I hear you! Glad your kids are feeling better and that you are back :) L♥ve and Hugs my precious friend!
What are you talking about? You directed us to a bottle of free shampoo. If that isn't something to write about, I don't know what is. :)
Joking aside, blogging is a tough business. Your writer's block will work itself out in the end. You are too good of a writer for it not to.

You know what stood out to me? The desire to delete the blog completely!
I'm so glad you said that because I've got through that twice in the last week to ten days. I didn't let myself but I sure wanted to. I'm so glad I'm not alone.
Congrats on being the super stalker :) (is that right, newbie here at BSU)
Great and fun blog! :)
I had writers block around October when I took a week off from work. Cool— all this time to write… nothing. Now if I get stuck I post what I call a "throw-away" post. These are posts like recipes or poems because they are already written and give me more time to concentrate on my other posts.
