- She is from Minnesota. Everyone I have ever known from Minnesota is cool.
- She is from Minnesota. To live somewhere that cold you have to be awesome.
- She says things like "You rock" and "You're a silly goose." Anyone who can say these things and not look silly (like I know I would) is pretty amazing.
- EO stands for Extraordinary Ordinary. That means even in the ordinary things in life you can find extraordinary things. Pretty genius name for a blog, if you ask me.
- She created an award called the "Moms Rock" award. She gives it to moms who do little things with their children that reap extraordinary benefits. (She gave one to my sister Brooke for allowing her children to decorate their Christmas tree all by themselves. Heather said someone who can not be OCD like and allow their children full reign of the Christmas decorations deserves the award. The benefits are happy children!)
- She has two children, Miles and Asher, who are the light of her life.
- Asher, the younger one (I wish I knew exact ages) has hydrocephalus, and has had a permanent shunt put in his brain to relieve the pressure. It was a very scary time during the surgery, but Heather had so much faith.
- She has more compassion and Christ-like love than almost anyone I know.
- There is a two year old girl named Tuesday who has cancer. Heather doesn't even know the family, but she was so moved by their story that she has opened her heart to help them. On this post, for every comment that people leave, she and her family will be donating one dollar to Tuesday's family. What love! What compassion! I hope to be more like Heather one day. Tuesday died yesterday, and Heather is continuing on with her goal of one dollar per comment until a cap is reached on how much she can afford to give. Please click here and leave a comment. *It looks like she has reached her limit, but thank you for being so willing!
