Workout

Just got home from my first workout. 30 minutes on an exercise bike. Watched Web Therapy (with Lisa Kudrow) on my video iPod. Got off the bike, embarrassed myself by stumbling as I walked over to get the cleaner and towel. Pretty sure my legs are going to fall off. Rode nearly 12 miles; burned enough calories to make up for either A) the four Oreos I ate earlier today or B) one of the two Creamies I ate earlier today.

It's going to be a long semester.

But I'm happy. It gives me 30 minutes three times a week to myself, and I will be more in shape at the end! I can do it. Cue "I Will Survive" music...

iPod list of songs:
take me out - franz ferdinand
i alone - live
harder to breathe - maroon 5
just another day - oingo boingo
ironic - alanis morrissette
fighter - christina aguilera
a little respect - erasure
anybody listening - queensryche
wasted time - skid row
crucify - tori amos

12 miles in 30 minutes? that sounds very impressive to me!

Ooh-I love that Franz Ferdinand song. And I fully have the Fighter song on my work-out playlist, too. I have a go-to song on my list that I put on when I'm about to give up: "Push it to the Limit" by Rick Ross. You should check it out...but also, get it edited.

I love love love the bike. If I could burn enough calories on that sucker I'd do it more. My faves are when I get a good solid 30-60 minute ride. Way to go girl. Videos sure make it go by faster than just music alone. I used to watch seasons of Boy Meets World when while I rode. Hey maybe I should do that again. I've been looking for a zing in my spring. :)

I am wishing you just inspired me to workout myself but I am sorry to say that I still feel like being lazy (dang it!). Hopefully in the future (when I stop waking up in the middle of the night thinking of all the things I need to get done and not being able to fall back asleep) you will inspire me because it would be nice to be in better shape. :)

Wow! Great job!! I haven't felt that mushy-leg feeling in a while, I'm afraid...

Are you going to the Corn Festival on Saturday in Enterprise?? We're heading up tomorrow!!

I wish I had a class like that. It'd be awesome to 1) get an easy A and 2) be forced to go to the gym.

Wow! You were bookin' it! I usually only make it about 5 miles in 1/2 hour on my exercise bike, and I feel like I'm going fast.

12 miles is amazing! Good for you!

My husband has a cousin who started cycling (on the road) to lose weight and combat his diabetes. He goes at least 100 miles a week and can sometimes go 40 miles or more on a single ride. He's lost about 80 pounds so far and his diabetes is non-existent.

Way to go Erin!
I am going to check out some of these songs. I haven't heard of some of these. Yes, I live in a cave.

Good for you! I have been trying to walk this summer (trying, not succeeding, being the key word) I hope it all goes well.

You go! I ride an exercise bike for 30 minutes first thing every morning. At 5:30 I'm up exercising! I read while I do it, so that's my "me" time. I actually look forward to it, more for the reading than the exercising.

Hey! Just saw your question on MMB, what a great one!

That's quite the random playlist. Now, go eat more oreos; you've got to carbo load for your next class, right?

Great Playlist! I love the look of your blog I'm a little embarrassed by how long I've neglected my blog buddies. Sorry about that :) Seriously though your blog looks amazing.

Oh, love your playlist. I've been meaning to get my FJ1W done and each time but forget, so I would just cancel the week. This time I thought win or loose it'll have to be played out. Thanks so much for issuing the challenge because I will get it right one of these weeks. I think getting a grade on exercising is so rad; motivation plus validation. You'll do great!
