A Little Bit of Everything

Random.org picked the winner of the two magnets, and it was #5 - Adrienne! Congrats Adrienne - e-mail me your address and I'll get those sent off right away.
~~~~~~~~~~
While grocery shopping the other day, I was sorely tempted to pull all of those pull tabs on the new packages of Oreos that tell you they are sealed. I wanted to, but I didn't do it. I wanted to see if anyone would notice before they purchased them.
~~~~~~~~~~
Note to self: Ethan is left handed. Please Erin, check his left pants pockets before washing. Otherwise, you may have gum or minute pieces of kleenex in your dryer. Thank you.
~~~~~~~~~~
I have been a bit disenchanted with blog world lately. Between rude anonymous people leaving judgmental comments on my friend Sher's blog, to receiving rude e-mails from people because I write about controversial topics (please people, I just asked a question. I didn't tell you you are going to hell because you joke about your husband on your blog. I didn't even give my own opinion anywhere in the post.), I have been stepping back a bit from the computer. I'm not telling you this for pity, or sympathy. I just wanted you to know if I haven't responded to your e-mails or been to your blog in the last two weeks, this is why. I'll probably get back on the wagon soon enough. If I can allow myself to get my heart back into it.
~~~~~~~~~~
Random list from my iPod (play with Motherboard if you would like):
1. No One - Alicia Keys
2. Inside Out - Eve 6
3. The Promise - When in Rome
4. Southside - Moby featuring Gwen Stefani
5. Cornflake Girl - Tori Amos
6. No One Knows - Queens of the Stone Age
7. Three Marlenas - The Wallflowers
8. Chains of Love - Erasure
9. Heart Shaped Box - Nirvana
10. Give it Away - Red Hot Chili Peppers
(I wanted to write a little note after each of these songs saying how much I love them - but then I realized they are in "my top rated" playlist on my iPod. Of course I love each of them; they are some of my very favorites, along with all 271 songs in that playlist. I'm such a music snob.)

I love all the songs on your playlist and I just love you too! I'm sorry people have to be so JERKY! How would they feel if the same thing was happening to them? Not very happy at all I would bet. Don't worry about the haters, just come back when you feel ready.

Bummer that people are jerks sometimes. Sorry Erin! I always enjoy reading your blog. ALWAYS. I have to tell you that I LOVE the chicken conversation your two boys had. It's so cute and funny!

I'm sorry you've been having a rough time. Seems like people have been nastier lately.

I am going to send you an email, and you better respond! :)

Just wanted you to know that I've missed reading your blog. I do understand needing to step back and take a break, so I'm glad you've done so. I look forward to when you re-enter the blogging world :)

I'm proud of you for not pulling the tabs out of the oreos! As an oreo eatin' fool...I would have been devastated to get my package home and find it was "already open"!

Good call on checking the left pants pocket before washing them. Three of my kids are left handed so I just got into the habit of checking all of their pockets.
A few weeks ago I still managed to wash a tube of Chapstick.

Sorry people are being idiots. I have read some blogs where people are extremely opinionated and are often rude and you have never been anything remotely close to that.
I just found two pockets full of sand while doing the laundry.. I didn't realize it until it started spilling everywhere.

With the business of life all around us swarming like an angry hive of bees, the heart needs to be involved in everything I do or it is not worth it. Sorry you have been deflated here and there. We'll be here...

Controversial? Controversial? I hope whoever that was doesn't wander over to my blog and read the waxing story.
You rock. That's all.

Wow-I haven't heard Southside in ages! And No One Knows is one of my favorite songs to play on guitar hero.

Adrienne said...

Wow I won! Cool...thanks. Can't wait!

Sorry that people are being punks, I haven't been in blog world for two weeks because we sold our house, moved into my dad's and I didn't have internet until 2 days ago and now that I have it I spend all my time looking at houses since the one we wanted we got outbid on. Bummer. I really was just going to comment to tell you that it must be the name because all of my kids are right handed except for #4 Ethan he is a lefty!

What is wrong with people? Don't they get the whole 'social' 'personal' blog thing? Keep going Erin - have an opinion, the Trolls know nothing and are just sad individuals with nothing better to do.
Thanks for your support and visits to my Ramblings X

People really do say mean things when they can do so anonymously!! (Even with their name on there, you don't really know who they are!) If people talked like that in real life, they wouldn't have any friends.

I, for one, LOVE reading your thoughts, so whenever you're ready to jump back on, I'll be waiting. :)

Yeah, I've seen a couple of rather nasty anonymous posters lately--I don't know if they're the same person, or if something's in the water or what. But sheesh, people! Let's be civil. At least have the guts to put your name on your opinion.

Mean people suck.

You don't.

If you don't have something nice to say, keep your mouth shut.

If I pulled the sealed tabs from oreo packages, I would also eat 3 oreos from each.

Oh, Erin. Don't lose heart. Remember that you blog for YOU (and the rest of us who love you)!

Thank you for the tip on checking left pants pockets...I think Carter is a lefty too.

Sorry about the bumminess in the blogging world. I love you, gal.

You can always come visit my blog without worrying too much. It is just cute pics of my kids and they will always cheer you up. ;) I love the pants pocket reminder. At least you remember to look. I never do.

Oh hun, I'm so sorry that your courage in blogging more openly has been repaid (in part) with unkindness. You, and indeed all those who blog with their whole heart, deserve better than that.

Thanks for the laundry tip, by the way. Both my girls are left handed so that's a good thought!

I KNOW! Sorry for the enthusiasum, but it's like an epidemic of mean people. Do you read Wendy's blog? (No botox allowed.) She got one too. It just makes me so mad! These people need to get over themselves and start minding their own buisness. Honestly, do they think that they are showing off what good people they are by putting people down? It's ridiculous!

Whew. I think I'm done now.

Hey Lady! Can I just say...Cornflake Girl is one of my all-time favorite songs! I love TORI!
So have you heard my news yet?
Also, Maybe you should make it so people have to log in to make a comment. That way you don't get the stupid anonymous people. I don't know if that will solve much...but it may help.
Hugs. Stand Tall!
ps...did you know thatwe were released this summer. Hardest week of my life! No joke!

My oldest is left handed. I just noticed the other night though that we have her sitting at the wrong spot at the table. She's bumping into her sister. But I'm horrible at checking pockets. I need to do that.

I wish there was something I could do to spark the fun back. I hope it comes soon.

I can't tell you the number of times I have been stymied by gum in someone's pants pocket. Grrrrr.

I just wanted to say that you're in every right to blog at your comfort level, but I have missed you... both on your blog and mine. :)

And the song Chains of Love totally reminds me of riding to high school in my friend's Camaro.

I have missed your blogs. Don't let those mean people get to you - they are just trying to get attention in a not so good way!
