Two Bits of Information and an Aidanism

I decided to take the B in my exercise class.  The night I wrote that blog post, I started getting Braxton Hicks contractions.  Isn't 14 weeks a little too early to be starting those?  Then, the next day, I ran a few errands (the bank, the gas station, Wal-Mart, Costa Vida - you know, the really important stuff) and as I was walking lunch into my husband's office, I had another contraction.  I decided exercising for the A wasn't worth the possibility of having problems with contractions.

Have you ever felt a little dirty after leaving a comment on Seriously So Blessed?  This morning I noticed TAMN is doing one of her giveaways, and I want those cake bites!!  Anyway, I spelled definitely "defiantly" (that's for you, Julie) and I used the term "awesome blossom" in my comment.  And now I feel a bit dirty.  I think I will slink into the depths of anonymity again for a while.

This morning Aidan said, "I have morning frost in my eyes, Mom."  Morning frost sounds so much better than sleepy eye or eye boogers, doesn't it?

Wish I had a legit excuse like Braxton Hicks to avoid exercising:) Hope you're feeling okay.

Did someone say cake bites?

I heard that Braxton hicks comes earlier with each pregnancy, but that does sound a little early. Can I give you advice? Drinks lots of water, dehydration can cause the contractions. Love you, and I hope you are feeling OK.

START TAKING IT EASY AND DO IT NOW!

I haven't left a comment on SSB for a long time because I always felt a little bit dirty when I did. Being annon. suits me just fine.

Good for you Erin! B's are awesome too!

Emmy said...

Yes I often just don't leave comments on Seriously so Blessed as I am just not sure what to say.

Braxton Hicks? This early?
Wow! i hope you are okay. Bubble baths tend to relax me.

Hope U have a good week this week! ;)

I love leaving comments on there because through that blog, I live vicariously. I can pretend I'm a brainless mom with nothing to worry about. Also, I always want to win SOMETHING.

Yes, please take it easy. A B is very honorable even if you were taking it for actual credit. :)

SSB, I have never been able to get into that blog. I guess I'm weird.

Yes, I feel a little dirty too now that I left a comment about my "rightous baby being borned soon and needing some glam". Oh well, maybe I'll win.

Bummer on the contractions! I hope they go away for many, many months. Take care of yourself and that little peanut!

Funny as she is, I can't help wondering if Tamn is corrosive to the ole IQ level among other things.

Congrats on taking the B. Sounds like it was the smart thing to do!

And Aidan is practically poetic with that description!

I started Braxton Hicks at like 22 weeks with each pregnancy. 14 weeks is a bit early. You're a smart woman. (Though taking a B, especially for *exercise* would kill me, too!)

I haven't read SSB in ages.

Contractions are one of my super powers- I get them at about 13-14 weeks. Stay hydrated, put your feet up, and pay attention to them- I spent 9 weeks on bedrest with preterm labor when I was pregnant with Kade. Good luck! I love Seriously So Blessed- it's my guilty pleasure, I always know it will make me laugh. And sometimes the comments are the best part!- Jodi

In my comment on SSB I used the word "rilly." And I just hope that if anyone ever reads that comment they will know I don't REALLY think it's spelled that way.

LisAway said...

Well! That made your decision making pretty easy, eh? B is for Braxton Hicks. B is also for "Better than pre-term labor". Just so you know. Good choice. :)

I feel dirty just reading SSB. :)

I suffer from comment anxiety all the time, makes me feel more normal that a well spoken Erin feels the same way sometimes. A "B" in an exercise class while pregnant is definatly doable.

Cranberryfries said...

Good girl. Especially because you went to Costa Vida and I've been hearing how fabulous it is lately. I need to go check it out.
Morning frost so so cute.

Take it easy on your bod. Relax.

We call it sleep dust (like from the sandman), and I have never commented or even read that blog, even though I have defiantly heard of it! LOL

It's almost poetic!

Good call on taking the B, I think it was a smart thing to do.

I never feel dirty after leaving a comment like that...I'm normally laughing too hard b/c I'm talking like someone I know all too well ;o)

Morning frost does sound WAY better than eye boogers!!

I think it's good that you didn't go to exercise. It's always better safe than sorry.

The only time I comment on SSB is when there is a contest. I am just not witty enough too keep up there.

I hate morning boogers. I call it luv.....yea, you gotta little 'luv' in your eye... I can't handle anything else.

I think giveaways are the only time I DON'T leave a comment on SSB....who can compete with hundreds of peeps?

Hahaha, this was such a funny post!

and yes... morning frost sounds more interesting!

I always got BH contractions when walking/exercising, but never as early as 14 weeks. I think my first ones ( as far as I can remember) was around 20 weeks.

But, of course, its been awhile since I've been pregnant so its hard to tell.

I can never think of anything clever to say on SSB. I think it takes a very smart person to think of ways to misspell words like she does.

Fiauna said...

14 weeks does sound early for contractions. So, I'd take it easy for a while.

I like "morning frost" so much more than "eye booger."

I am so excited for you being pregnat. It would be hard for me too not to get that A, even though it really doesn't matter. I hope you are doing ok and enjoying your Christmas season. Thanks for all the great words of encouragement.

I don't think I ever left a comment to say congratulations. I saw your blog and then I got discouraged by how many comments you had to go through... so I'm thinking for that reason, I didn't leave one.
I am rooting for you, though and totally understand feeling too old for this. My body tells me about it regularly. However, I am glad to only have about 3 weeks left!! Hang in there. I love you.
