So I called Papa Murphy's, and was instantly put on hold. I didn't think anything of it, because I figured they would be busy. Then when I finally got through, I told them I wanted the $3.99 pepperoni pizza special they had going on. The girl said she wasn't aware of a special, but she could give me a medium pepperoni pizza for $4.99. I said, "Oh, my friend said there is a deal going on right now. Is that only up in the Salt Lake/Provo area, and not down here?" She seemed confused and passed the phone to someone else who could probably help me better. This woman told me that she could give me a pepperoni pizza for $4.99, and I finally gave in and said I would like four. She said, "I'm assuming this is for carryout?" I said, "Of course," but I was thinking, "Why would she ask me something like that? They don't deliver. Of course I will be picking it up....."
Oh......
Um.....
Then I said, "Um, I have an embarrassing question. What pizza store did I just call?" The woman said, "Dominos." Oops. "Um, will you please cancel that order? I accidentally called the wrong place." She laughed and said, "Don't worry about it, that happens all the time."
I seriously doubt it. I think she was just being nice.
I went and looked on my fridge, and sure enough, my Dominos magnet and my Papa Murphy's magnet were right next to each other. D'oh!
So I called Papa Murphy's, ordered my four pizzas, was very thankful that I had called ahead because the line was out the door when I got there, and my family had pizza for dinner and I had pancakes.
(Oh, and I pilfered the crusts off of the pizza for myself. No dairy in those!)

This reminds me of when I was a kid my dad used to answer the phone "Domnio's!" if he knew it was me calling.
I didn't know you could freeze already baked pizza. Or did you have them only bake the one?
Awesome. Hey, it happens. Not to me, but to other people.
Ha! We love Papa Murphy's. We rarely pay more than $5-6 every time with coupons and such - and you better believe the $3.99 deal was a big hit around here.
You know, my dad gets pizza with no cheese, and it's surprisingly good. All the yummy sauce and veggies and bread, it still tastes like pizza. You can always order half no cheese and half with. We do it for him all the time. It's actually pretty healthy, too.
Ai yi yi!
I've done the same thing before too. LOL.
Glad you got your pizza!
our Papa Murphy's closed here in MEsquite.
*sigh* :(
Happy eating!
What happen to your header?
I've done that. Seriously. Um...more than once.
So funny!
I'd pick pancakes over pizza any day. Well...almost any day. Imagine if you had gone to Papa Murphy's to pick up the pizza and had no order...!
Haha. I think we have all been there in one way or another. At least it wasn't something face to face. That would be way more embarrassing. Good deal on pizza though. I am not going to tell Rick about it. lol. I am not a big Papa Murphy's fan. I only like very select kinds of their pizza. Something about there sauce. I
Thanks for the freezing idea.. Papa Murphy's rocks!!
You were nicer than I would have been. i would have just quickly hung up.
Great idea about freezing the PM pizzas!
Lol! Glad you figured it out or you really would have wondered where your pizzas were.
After working at Pizza Hut for 5 years, I can tell you honestly that people call the wrong place ALL the time. It's pretty funny sometimes because they are often adamant that they called the right place for the deal they want.
Reading this made me hungry for pizza....but I'm usually always hungry for pizza.
Snicker! At least you were smart enough to call ahead.
On Halloween, they do pumpkin shaped pizzas and I've finally learned to pick mine up at 2:00 in the afternoon- BEFORE the crowds arrive. Learned that one the hard way.
Oops! It could have been worse. I can imagine how embarrassed you felt!
P.S. I like the new header. It's cute!
Hahaha, that is awesome! So funny! And wow to you for sticking to your no dairy diet, it's SO hard!!!
Dangit! I wish that I had seen this earlier!
I never even thought about freezing those bad boys!
